However, <strong data-start=\"2008\" data-end=\"2038\">37 regions<\/strong> remain at the highest alert level. <\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"10bh8el\" data-start=\"2101\" data-end=\"2146\">     <strong data-start=\"2104\" data-end=\"2146\">Tragedy in France Amid the Heat Wave<\/strong> <\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2148\" data-end=\"2197\">     The extreme temperatures had tragic consequences. data-end=\"3347\">     <strong data-start=\"3131\" data-end=\"3142\">Switzerland<\/strong> set a new all-time <strong data-start=\"3166\" data-end=\"3183\">June record<\/strong>, as in <strong data-start=\"3195\" data-end=\"3207\">Basel<\/strong>, the temperature reached <strong data-start=\"3234\" data-end=\"3258\">38.8 degrees Celsius<\/strong>, surpassing the previous high of 38 degrees recorded just one day earlier. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3349\" data-end=\"3427\">     The extreme conditions even affected <strong data-start=\"3402\" data-end=\"3426\">electricity generation<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3429\" data-end=\"3591\">     The nuclear power plant in <strong data-start=\"3453\" data-end=\"3466\">Beznau<\/strong> nuclear power plant suspended operations to prevent the water used to cool the reactors from overheating. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3593\" data-end=\"3723\">     For the same reason, in <strong data-start=\"3616\" data-end=\"3626\">France<\/strong>, three nuclear reactors were taken offline, limiting electricity production. <\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"e7g3st\" data-start=\"3725\" data-end=\"3773\">     <strong data-start=\"3728\" data-end=\"4530\">June record<\/strong> for the third consecutive day. <\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"l97up\" data-start=\"4560\" data-end=\"4600\">     <strong data-start=\"4563\" data-end=\"4600\">Red alert in the Netherlands<\/strong> <\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"4602\" data-end=\"4687\">     For the first time this year, the <strong data-start=\"4626\" data-end=\"4638\">the Netherlands<\/strong> has been placed under a <strong data-start=\"4649\" data-end=\"4670\">red alert<\/strong> due to the heat. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4689\" data-end=\"4868\">     Temperatures are expected to reach <strong data-start=\"4740\" data-end=\"4754\">40 degrees<\/strong> in some areas, most schools remain closed, and authorities are urging citizens to limit their travel. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4870\" data-end=\"5080\">     Meanwhile, drawbridges are being cooled as a precaution to prevent problems caused by metal expansion, while a major <strong data-start=\"4996\" data-end=\"5030\">electronic
