Tensions between Washington<\/strong> and Tehran<\/strong> escalated again early Sunday morning, with both sides accusing each other of violating the ceasefire agreed upon on June 17<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

According to CENTCOM<\/strong>, U.S. fighter jets struck ten targets in Iran, targeting military surveillance facilities, communications systems, air defense systems, drone depots, and infrastructure related to mine-laying capabilities. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, explosions were reported in the Sirik<\/strong> region of southern Iran. State television IRIB<\/strong> reported that a telecommunications tower was hit, while missiles also struck a village on the island of Kesm<\/strong>, though there is no information on casualties so far. <\/p>\n

The U.S. military claims that the attacks are a response to recent actions by Tehran<\/strong> against commercial ships in the Persian Gulf<\/strong>, claiming that Iran<\/strong> chose not to honor the ceasefire. <\/p>\n

Iran\u2019s retaliation with missiles and drones<\/strong> <\/h2>\n

A few hours later, the Revolutionary Guards<\/strong> announced that they had launched missiles and drones against U.S. military facilities in Kuwait<\/strong> and Bahrain<\/strong>, describing the U.S. operation as a direct violation of the ceasefire agreement. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis violation of the ceasefire contravenes Article 1 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of Islamabad and will lead to a complete suspension of all diplomatic proceedings<\/strong>,\u201d according to a statement broadcast by Press TV<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

The Revolutionary Guards<\/strong> further asserted that \u201cdestroyed eight key U.S. military facilities at the Ali al-Salem base in Kuwait and at the 5th Fleet base in Salman Port, Bahrain<\/strong>“. <\/p>\n

In the same statement, they warned that: “Any hostile attack, regardless of pretext, even against insignificant targets (\u2026) will be met with a relentless response<\/strong>.\u201d <\/p>\n

The armed forces of Kuwait<\/strong> confirmed the missile and drone attacks, while in Bahrain<\/strong>, air raid sirens were activated, and authorities urged citizens to remain in safe shelters. <\/p>\n

Kuwaiti air defenses are currently repelling missile attacks and hostile drones.<\/p>\n

The Army General Staff notes that any sounds of explosions heard are the result of air defense systems intercepting hostile attacks.<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s Strong Message \u2013 Reactions from Hezbollah and Israel<\/strong> <\/h2>\n

In a post on the platform Truth Social<\/strong>, the president of the U.S.<\/strong>, Donald Trump,<\/b> defended American businesses and issued a new threat against Tehran<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

\u201cU.S. aircraft have just struck Iranian missile and drone depots, as well as coastal radar sites, in yet another violation of the ceasefire agreement<\/strong>\u201d. <\/p>\n

He then added: \u201cThere may come a time (\u2026) when we will be forced to complete militarily the task we began with great success<\/strong>.\u201d <\/p>\n

And he concluded with a statement that raises the stakes even further: \u201cIf that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist<\/strong>.\u201d <\/p>\n

At the same time, Hezbollah<\/strong> launched an attack.\u00a0The organization\u2019s leader, Naim Qassem<\/strong>, described it as \u201chumiliating, shameful, and a betrayal of national sovereignty<\/strong>.\u201d <\/p>\n

For his part, the prime minister of Israel<\/strong>, Benjamin Netanyahu<\/strong>, spoke of \u201chistoric agreement<\/strong>,” arguing that it constitutes “a blow to Iran and Hezbollah<\/strong>“. <\/p>\n
