A 25-year-old educator who worked at a summer recreation center in Vaucluse in southeastern France. <\/p>\n
He has been charged with sexual assaults against three children aged 3 to 4, while the judicial investigation continues to determine whether there are other potential victims.<\/p>\n
The case came to light following complaints from parents, causing intense upheaval in the local community.<\/p>\n
The 25-year-old, who according to the prosecutor\u2019s office was previously unknown to police and judicial authorities, was arrested on Wednesday and taken into custody pending investigation of the case.<\/p>\n
After his initial statement, he was charged with \u201csexual assault against three children,\u201d and was subsequently released on probation and placed under judicial supervision, as announced by Avignon prosecutor St\u00e9phanie Owen.<\/p>\n
The first complaint was filed on June 10, when a mother claimed that her son had been sexually assaulted by a counselor at the recreation center.<\/p>\n
During the preliminary investigation, a second complaint was filed by the family of a girl who attended the same facility, describing similar incidents.<\/p>\n
According to the prosecutor\u2019s office, the children involved in the case are between 3 and 4 years old. One of them has already given a statement to investigators, and two additional complaints were subsequently filed by parents.<\/p>\n
The families identified so far have been referred to the Victims\u2019 Support Association (Amav) to receive psychological and legal support.<\/p>\n
The accused had been working at this recreation center for the past seven years. The Municipality of Morier-l\u2019Avignon suspended him from his duties for six months pending the completion of the judicial investigation.<\/p>\n
As has been reported, in 2025 he had faced disciplinary proceedings for accepting a \u201cnon-suggestive photo\u201d from a female student and had been punished at that time with a five-day suspension from his job.<\/p>\n
The terms of his probation include mandatory treatment, a ban on entering Vokliz and any school facilities, a ban on professional activities involving minors, as well as a ban on any communication with the children, their families, the victims, and the witnesses.<\/p>\n
The Avignon prosecutor noted that the investigation is continuing under the supervision of an investigating judge to determine whether there are other potential victims.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
