Alexis Tsipras<\/b> gathered officials from wherever he could to show that he was creating something like a progressive front, but he ended up with people who had either previously criticized him or held unorthodox political views. Of course, you can\u2019t really expect anything different from the former prime minister\u2019s circle.<\/p>\n
Spyros Dritsas<\/b>, the health sector head of ELAS<\/b>, is probably a prime example of both situations. On the one hand, because he previously spoke of the need for Greece to leave the European Union and the euro. On the other hand, because he had harshly criticized SYRIZA<\/b>.<\/p>\n
As he had stated earlier at a party event \u201cWe cannot continue with the imperialist mechanisms into which we are integrated. Because they are mechanisms of destruction, exploitation, and the fascistization of societies, as evidenced by the latest developments in Ukraine. Let\u2019s break free. Let\u2019s leave both the euro and the European Union.\u201d<\/p>\n

In fact, the new head of the Hellenic Police<\/b> accused both the KKE<\/b> as well as SYRIZA<\/b>. He claimed that the two parties are spouting nonsense about healthcare.<\/p>\n
Has anything really changed now that he\u2019s joined ELAS<\/b> under Alexis Tsipras<\/b>? Has he changed his mind about the European Union and the euro? Does he want European funds for the National Health System<\/b>?<\/p>\n
We all understand that, once again, the former prime minister\u2019s choices aren\u2019t serious\u2014he\u2019s simply looking for officials from other left-wing parties, beyond SYRIZA<\/b>, to show that he has support. <\/p>\n
