His response was truly revealing. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1777\" data-end=\"1927\">     \u201c<strong data-start=\"1778\" data-end=\"1913\">When we\u2019re in third place in the polls, saying that our goal is first place is something that has made things very difficult<\/strong>,\u201d he admitted. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1929\" data-end=\"2042\">     He then turned his criticism toward the broader European <strong data-start=\"2008\" data-end=\"2029\">social democracy<\/strong>, stating: \u201c<strong data-start=\"2045\" data-end=\"2192\">Social democracy as a whole isn\u2019t popular; it doesn\u2019t resonate with Europeans. It has failed to propose tangible, concrete, and measurable solutions to citizens<\/strong>.\u201d <\/p>\n<figure>\n<div class=\"embed-responsive\">  <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"79dlho\" data-start=\"2196\" data-end=\"2239\">     <b>The reference to Tsipras\u2019s party<\/b> <\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2241\" data-end=\"2416\">     <strong data-start=\"2243\" data-end=\"2265\">Christos Kaklamanis<\/strong> directly linked today\u2019s poll results to the emergence of <strong data-start=\"2351\" data-end=\"2367\">Alexis Tsipras<\/strong>, arguing that it has changed the political landscape. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2418\" data-end=\"2597\">     \u201c<strong data-start=\"2419\" data-end=\"2572\">Let\u2019s not kid ourselves\u2014things have gotten tougher. A one-vote victory\u2014that\u2019s what we used to say about Tsipras\u2019s party; now we have this polling scenario<\/strong>,\u201d he noted. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2599\" data-end=\"2718\">     At the same time, he assessed that the new political movement will not lead to a decline for <strong data-start=\"2673\" data-end=\"2682\">PASOK<\/strong>, though it does limit its momentum. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2720\" data-end=\"2986\">     \u201c<strong data-start=\"2721\" data-end=\"2979\">Clearly, the emergence of Tsipras\u2019s party poses a problem for PASOK\u2019s continued rise.
