According to the preliminary investigation , the fire was caused by <\/b>the use of a grill\u2014barbecue\u2014in an outdoor area of his home<\/b>. Following the completion of the preliminary investigation by the Investigative Unit for Arson Crimes (A.K.A.E.E.) in Corinth, the perpetrator was arrested in flagrante delicto and brought before the competent prosecuting authority.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that from January 1 through June 28, 2026, a total of 486 administrative fines have been imposed, totaling 557,517.295 euros<\/b>, while 131 arrests <\/b>have been made under the procedure for offenses caught in the act, of which 123 (93.89%) were due to negligence and 8 (6.11%) were intentional.<\/p>\n
