The Presidency of the Government, the OECD and the ECB will present on July 3 the OECD Diaspora Review Greece on the Greek workforce abroad, international mobility trends, and policies for harnessing this potential.<\/p>\n
On July 3, 2026<\/strong>, at the Bodossaki Foundation<\/strong>, an event will be held on the topic \u201cGreek Human Capital Abroad: The Return\u201d<\/strong>, co-organized by the General Secretariat for Coordination of the Presidency of the Government<\/strong> and the Permanent Delegation of Greece to the OECD<\/strong>. The focus will be on the presentation of the findings of the study \u201cOECD Diaspora Review Greece\u201d<\/strong>, which was prepared in collaboration with the National Center for Documentation and Digital Content (EKT)<\/strong>, as part of the OECD\u2019s \u201cTalent Abroad\u201d<\/strong> series.<\/p>\n
Presentation of the study and presentations<\/strong><\/h2>\n
The event<\/strong> will begin at 10:00 a.m. with an introductory welcome address by Secretary General for Coordination of the Presidency of the Government, Evi Dramalioti<\/strong>. This will be followed by remarks from the Minister of State <\/b>Akis Skertsos, the Minister of Labor and Social Security <\/b>Niki Kerameos, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs <\/b>Yiannis Loverdos<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Next, Jean-Christophe Dumont<\/strong>, head of the International Migration Directorate at the OECD<\/strong>, will present the international mobility trends<\/strong> and policies for leveraging human capital in the session \u201cOECD Talent Abroad\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
Immediately afterward, Lisa Andersson<\/strong>, from the Directorate for Employment, Labor and Social Affairs Directorate of the OECD<\/strong>, will present the data<\/strong>, the trends<\/strong>, and the challenges<\/strong> highlighted by the study \u201cMapping the Greek Diaspora\u201d<\/strong> on the Greek diaspora.<\/p>\n
The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session with journalists<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
From findings to strategy, the discussion on policies<\/strong><\/h2>\n
The program will conclude with roundtable<\/strong> on the topic \u201cFrom Findings to Strategy\u2014How Data Translates into Policy\u201d<\/strong>, focusing on linking the study\u2019s conclusions to public policy design.<\/p>\n
Participants in the discussion will include Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Greece to the OECD, Giorgos Pagoulatos<\/strong>, the Secretary General for Labor Relations, Nikos Milapidis<\/strong>, Secretary General for the Greek Diaspora and Public Diplomacy, Maira Myrogianni<\/strong>, and Secretary General for Coordination of the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, Evi Dramalioti<\/strong>, with coordination provided by Director of the National Documentation Center, Kyriakos Tolias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
