It is also Nikos Androulakis’ problem to register even double-digit percentages in his suitability for prime minister, that is, to show that he has prime ministerial viability and to support the narrative of political change.

In fact, reports say that in the polls in comparison with Alexis Tsipras appears to come behind the former prime minister and former president of Syriza, a fact that is causing concern within the party as well, with members of Charilaou Trikoupis – who belong to the leadership team – looking for ways to change this image.

Nikos Androulakis is not convincing. Neither does he convince those who declare that they will vote for PASOK. And he is not convinced because inside the party he backed down on a number of issues at the Congress in order to avoid any reaction from the dolphins – who are now waiting for the elections to see what they will do the next day – while to the outside world he appears permanently angry.

This is not all. When the leader of a party permanently reduces himself to being a… victim seeking vindication, even for something he has not suffered, he can hardly convince himself that he has leadership qualities. Let’s not forget that PASOK attempted to create the image that it was a victim of surveillance by illegal software, despite the fact that there was an attempt but it was not completed.

The president of PASOK is seeking in every way to emerge as a political opponent of Kyriakos Mitsotakis. As the person who represents the other pole of the political system, however, so far he has not succeeded in doing so, mainly because there is no such pole, which is recorded as being very fragmented and with the only common feature being the anxiety that the prime minister should leave in order to save those who represent him politically.

Premiership cannot result from a tactic of catastrophism and toxicity. Misery is not a way out or an alternative, and people can see that. Nor can the sword of a supposedly… catharsis be turned into a banner under which voters will rush to rally.

The problem is that in essence PASOK today appears to be copying Syriza’s practices under Alexis Tsipras and, above all, claiming a negative vote, putting forward a moral advantage of its own and promising courts for political opponents, while citizens are seeking stability and security in a geopolitical and economic environment characterised by instability and constant insecurity.

Finally, it is worth noting that PASOK is calling for elections and Nikos Androulakis says he is ready to take over the country’s government at a time when his spokesmen are officially stating that a long road is needed for a possible first term, which, however, is nowhere in sight as a development.

The whispers in PASOK are in contrast to the cries from the front. They are both showing anxiety and pointing towards the new party that Alexis Tsipras says he is preparing as they take it for granted that its appearance will at least clip the anaemic needle wagging.

Nikos Androulakis is looking for ways to create an image of prime ministership through catastrophizing, toxicity and high tones.
It is not only the…

[3

post-1373","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-politics
["GET
