A harsh attack on both Alexis Tsipras<\/b> and PASOK<\/b> was launched by Gavriel Sakellaridis<\/b>.<\/p>\n
As it turns out, Gavriel Sakellaridis<\/b> and the New Left<\/b> are increasingly distancing themselves from both Alexis Tsipras and PA\u03a3OK<\/b>. At least the majority of the New Left<\/b> expressed by Gavriel Sakellaridis<\/b> and Euclidis Tsakalotos<\/b>.<\/p>\n
In this context, Gavriel Sakellarides<\/b> admitted that neither PASOK<\/b> nor Alexis Tsipras<\/b> can defeat Kyriakos Mitsotakis<\/b> and even attacked them, saying that they are competing with each other for second place. And this conflict, he argued, should not concern the Left, which must find a new front to express itself in a majority.<\/p>\n
As the new president of the New Left<\/b> said, “The real question is why PASOK<\/b>, Tsipras<\/b>, Syriza<\/b> don’t get along so that Mitsotakis<\/b> can fall? Do they really think that they alone can beat Mitsotakis<\/b>? What we are seeing is a race to see who comes in second, a competition between Mr Tsipras<\/b>‘s gestating party and PASOK<\/b>. Gavriel Sakellaridis, who was a spokesman for Alexis Tsipras<\/b>‘s government, stressed that both PASOK<\/b> and the former prime minister want to run as independents, so the New Left<\/b> has no intention of working with them. Instead, he claimed, the party is looking to create a new “popular front” on the left.<\/p>\n
Of course, what Gavriel Sakellarides<\/b> says is no coincidence as there are reports that there is a pre-election collaboration between New Left<\/b>, at least those who remain in it, and Giannis Varoufakis’ Mera25<\/b>. Besides, the former government spokesman does not say the best things about Alexis Tsipras<\/b> while the former prime minister appears to be unhappy with him, as with most of the New Left<\/b>.<\/p>\n
As he said, “If a broad progressive pole could be formed that could really threaten and change the terms of the political game against the Mitsotakis<\/b> government, realistically speaking, that would obviously pose the question in a very different way to us as well.
