The BOK<\/b> construction sites in Heraklion<\/b> and Lassithi<\/b> were visited today by the Minister Minister of Infrastructure and Transport<\/b>, Christos Dimas<\/b>, accompanied by the Secretary General of Infrastructure Dimitris Anagnopoulos. <\/p>\n
The Minister was briefed on the progress of the construction works of the new highway in Crete<\/b>, a project of key importance for road safety and the development of the island. <\/p>\n
“With the implementation of the BOAK, we are closing the last outstanding issue in the construction of the country’s major highways,” said Mr. Municipality, stressing that the progress of the works is proceeding dynamically, while he highlighted the cooperation with the Region of Crete and the municipalities of the island, which have made a number of requests in the context of the project. <\/p>\n
In addition to the sections where the highway is being constructed with a new alignment, along the BOAK, projects are being carried out to improve the road safety level of the existing road<\/b>. The minister was accompanied by the Regional Governor of Crete Stavros Arnaoutakis<\/b> and the prefecture’s ND MPs, Lefteris Avgenakis<\/b>, Konstantinos Kefalogiannis<\/b> and Maximos Senetakis<\/b>. <\/p>\n
