The PASOK<\/b> President’s<\/b> participation in the Barcelona<\/b> “gathering” and his Nikos Androulakis<\/b><\/a> with Pedro S\u00e1nchez <\/b>who was captured with a… a selfie, Paulos Marinakis commented.<\/p>\n

Also, Marinakis was asked at today’s briefing of political editors in the capital about the possible visit<\/b> of the president of PASOK<\/b> to the city and the criticism<\/b> that PASOK executives often make of the government’s work in Thessaloniki<\/b>.<\/p>\n

“I am glad that the opposition leader will be in Thessaloniki<\/b> and I hope that in Thessaloniki he will make a speech because from what I saw on his trip to Spain<\/b> – which was the reason why the debate in Parliament was held on Thursday and not on Friday – he limited himself to video, tiktok and selfies”<\/b>, the government spokesman said, who at the same time recalled in contrast the substantial presence of the prime minister<\/b> in Congress<\/b> where he was applauded “by both sides” and the imprint of Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ handling of the European Union<\/b> both in terms of claiming funds through the Recovery Fund<\/b> and for European defence.<\/p>\n

“We have not had any public intervention by Mr Androulakis<\/b>,” Marinakis said, adding that this “is very serious. Because from time to time he (Mr. Androulakis) makes harsh criticism of the Prime Minister’s presence abroad, the Prime Minister who was in Congress and was applauded by both sides. The Prime Minister who, through his own interventions, changed the whole debate on European defence. <\/b>Our country got the most money as a function of its GDP and to deal with the consequences of the pandemic and from the Recovery Fund and many other initiatives.”<\/p>\n

And he went on to criticise the leader of the opposition: “When we are too quick with words,<\/b> it is good that words are accompanied by actions<\/b>. And I think that because I am sure that Mr. Androulakis, when he is outside Greece, and I do not doubt it in any way, he promotes the timeless national positions<\/b>, when he is in such important for the party to which PASOK belongs and the wider area to which it belongs, for accurately<\/b> PASOK, conferences, fora, events, it is also good as the leader of the country’s opposition to position himself<\/b> not only on the issues of their own space, but also on the interests of the country, given some of the positions that Mr. Sanchez <\/b>and in relation to the neighbouring country. I think that would be much more useful than a video. Videos are good, it’s very good and common that the traditional media don’t see they are also informed about the political leaders, as long as there is some speech<\/b> in the content of those videos.<\/p>\n

As for the criticism by PASOK executives of the government’s work in Thessaloniki, Marinakis responded with the projects that are being implemented and -most importantly- completed and delivered to the citizens.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
