The design of a new copy-cat body, which aspires to be staffed by the same materials that led to the previous collapse, creates a climate of confusion, irony and intense political confrontation, dividing the cadre into three clear categories.

First are the welcome, then come the unwelcome and finally there are the indifferent.

Alexis Tsipras’s strategy seems to walk a fine line between political survival and a total reversal of the facts on the left.

According to reports, the former prime minister is seeking to create a formation that will act as a “collector” of cadres of different origins, despite the fact that many of them found themselves in opposing camps during the recent splits.

The lingering question is how you can build the new using only the materials of the old that you yourself have discredited or allowed to decay.

The list of those “welcomed” by today’s SYRIZA includes names that remained loyal or took a wait-and-see attitude, such as Olga Gerovassili, Dionysis Kalamatianos and Poppi Tsapanidou. These are persons who, according to Amalias, could provide the necessary “face” to the new project.

At the same time, executives such as Giorgos Karameros, Katerina Notopoulou, Christos Giannoulis and Vassilis Kokkalis appear to be under the microscope of the new design.

A relationship with New Left is even more complicated. Alexis Tsipras has reportedly opened a channel of communication with people who left SYRIZA with a bang, such as Alexis Haritsis, Efi Achtsioglou and Nassos Iliopoulos.

The attempt to reconnect with members who have accused him in the past of political drift and the transformation of SYRIZA into a party of personality borders on the absurd.

In addition, the interest extends to statesmen from Thrace, with typical examples being deputies Hussein Hassan Zeibek and Ozgur Ferhat, which adds an extra dimension of complexity due to the delicate balances in the region.

However, the biggest thorn in this design is the issue of parliamentary status. Alexis Tsipras has signaled that he does not want to include in his new line-up persons who already hold parliamentary seats, in order to avoid accusations of “apostasy” and seat theft.

This creates a huge dilemma as to whether the aforementioned MPs will agree to resign their offices to follow an uncertain new path.

The answer seems difficult and a refusal to resign could trigger a chain reaction.

Koumundourou is watching developments with extreme suspicion. Tensions are expected to escalate as the SYRIZA leadership realizes that its former president is now acting as a competing pole that threatens the party’s very survival.

For its part, the official SYRIZA seems to be choosing the path of autonomy. With key spearheads being executives like Pavlos Polakis, the party seems determined to go it alone until the elections, taking direct aim at Alexis Tsipras’ moves.

Paulos Polakis and the wing that follows him, but not only them, believe that any cooperation or retreat in the face of the “new Tsipras party”would be political suicide and a betrayal of the base that remained in the party through the hard times.

The rhetoric of autonomous descent is being reinforced as Koumoundourou wants to prove that it has its own momentum, independent of the “ghost” of its former leader.

Many executives led by Nikos Pappas are also moving in the same vein, but advocating the cooperation of the so-called progressive forces with autonomy for SYRIZA. Finally, there is also a large group of executives, historical and otherwise, who participated in the first government of the Left, such as Giannis Dragasakis, who are completely indifferent to what is happening and follow developments from their homes.

The tragedy ends with the realization that there is no prospect of cooperation between the two sides.

Syriza will continue on its course to stem the leaks to the copy party, while Alexis Tsipras will try to convince the electorate that the “prototype” is now him and not the organization he left behind. This is a battle for political survival where, for many observers on the left, the terms ethics and consistency have lost their meaning.

The next period will be crucial. The resignations that may be called for, the denials that will follow and the frontal clashes in parliament and on the channels will put together the puzzle of a period of intense intra-left toxicity.

If Alexis Tsipras believes he can rise from the ashes, he will have to face not only his political opponents but also his former comrades.

Finally, PASOK’s deputy deputy head of PASOK’s justice department, Anna Papadopoulou, announced her departure from PASOK, denouncing the party’s leadership, and she is likely headed to Tsipras’s party.

The leadership of SYRIZA understands that Alexis Tsipras is now operating as a competitive pole that threatens the survival of the party.
The …

[3

post-1686","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-politics
["GET
