{"id":1759,"date":"2026-04-21T14:10:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T11:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=1759"},"modified":"2026-04-21T14:10:00","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T11:10:00","slug":"ppc-the-bond-placement-for-the-residents-of-kozani-florina-was-successfully-completed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=1759","title":{"rendered":"PPC: the bond placement for the residents of Kozani-Florina was successfully completed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The sale of the <a href=\"https:\/\/tomanifesto.gr\/dei\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Public Power Corporation<\/b> Group&#8217;s <b>Bond to residents of the counties of Kozani and <b>Florina<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, the demand amounted to EUR 35 million, while the issue was EUR 5 million. The bonds will be allocated on a pro rata <b>(pro rata) <\/b>basis based on the amount of demand, as specified in the allocation process. The development, as PPC notes, is a <b>vote of confidence in the company&#8217;s investment plan<\/b> and adds:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;PPC Group, as committed during the presentation of its investment plan for <b>Western Macedonia<\/b> in April 2025, proceeded through its wholly owned subsidiary, <b>DEP Renewables<\/b>, to the allocation of up to 50.000 common nominal intangible bonds with a guarantee of coverage by PPC in the event that <b>investors<\/b> do not cover the entire issue.<\/p>\n<p>The nominal value of each bond was set at 100 euros with a minimum participation limit of five bonds and a maximum participation limit of 250 bonds. The yield is<b>a fixed 8% per annum<\/b>, meaning that the investor&#8217;s initial capital will increase by 40% (before tax) over five years. The maturity of the issue is five years with the possibility of reissuance by PPC Renewables.<\/p>\n<p>The interested parties &#8211; <b>exclusively residents of the Kozani and Florina prefectures<\/b> &#8211; participated in the issue en masse. The certification of the completeness of the localization criterion was carried out by presenting documents, such as, but not limited to, documents issued by the tax office, a recent energy, telecommunications or water supply bill, or a residential lease contract that has been notified to the competent tax authorities.<\/p>\n<p>The bond issue was originally announced by PPC&#8217;s Chairman and CEO, Mr. <b>Georgio Stassis<\/b>, last April during the presentation of PPC Group&#8217;s strategic investment plan at an event held at the former lignite-fired steam power plant in Kardia.<\/p>\n<p><b>The PPC Group&#8217;s strategic investment plan is worth \u20ac5.75 billion over the next three to five years<\/b> and envisages that the former lignite lands in Western Macedonia will be transformed into a technological and green energy hub for the country and South-Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n<p>It includes a <b>new 300 MW mega data center at the Agios Dimitrios power plant<\/b>, which in a second phase may be upgraded to a giga data center of up to 1,000 MW, and which PPC is ready to start building once it has agreed with the hyperscalers that will use it.
