A request to the trial court <\/b>that the three protected witnesses not testify was made today by defense attorneys, in trial <\/b>for the murder <\/b>of police officer <\/b>Jiorgos Liggeridis<\/b>. <\/p>\n

These are witnesses<\/b> who during the preliminary investigation have turned against some accused<\/b>. <\/p>\n

Defense attorneys have submitted a request not to testify<\/b> if the court does not first check whether they have dual status<\/b>, that is, if they are witnesses and defendants in the same case<\/b>. <\/p>\n
