{"id":1965,"date":"2026-04-22T12:52:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T09:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=1965"},"modified":"2026-04-22T12:52:00","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T09:52:00","slug":"rayey-doubled-consumers-on-fixed-electricity-tariffs-in-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=1965","title":{"rendered":"RAYEY: doubled consumers on fixed electricity tariffs in 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Residential <b>electricity <\/b> consumers choosing <strong>fixed (blue)<\/strong>tariffs<\/strong> doubled during 2025, according to RAAEY data.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, residential meters with <strong>fixed tariffs<\/strong> <strong>were 867,161 in January last year (14.72% of the total) and increased to 1,653,984 in December (27.83% share)<\/strong>. This means that more consumers chose the predictability and protection from <b><a href=\"https:\/\/tomanifesto.gr\/times\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">price fluctuations<\/b> that fixed tariffs provide. <\/p>\n<p>The <strong>majority of consumers moved to blue, abandoning green tariffs which fell to 3,446,037 (57.98%) from 4,140,451 at the start of the year (70.26%)<\/strong>. Despite the significant reduction, green tariffs still cover the majority of consumers. Yellow (floating) tariffs also suffered smaller losses and were reduced to 14.19 % of the market , down from 15.02 % at the beginning of the year. <\/p>\n<p>From the <b>RAEY<\/b> data it also emerges that PPC remains by far the largest supplier, maintaining its 2024 share in terms of cash flow (71.84 % last year from 71.65 % in 2024). <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; In the low trend PPC&#8217;s share was 70.96 % (followed by Protergia with 8.78 %, Zenith with 4.85 % and Heron with 4.67 %). <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; In the medium trend PPC&#8217;s share was 52.54 % (Protergia: 18.11 %, Heron: 11.53 %, NRG: 5.46 %). <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; In the high trend (large companies) PPC has 54.99 % followed by METLEN (16.33 %) and Heron (13.07 %). <\/p>\n<p><b>Different is the picture of the shares according to the volume of consumption:<\/b> in the low and medium trend PPC remains first with 60.99 % and 34.04 % respectively, while in the high trend METLEN has the largest share with 52.06 %. <\/p>\n<p>In 2025 there is also a <b>significant decrease in the number of consumers in universal service status,<\/b> which was over 170,000 at the end of 2024 and was reduced to 85,000 in December 2025. <\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Doubled during 2025 the number of residential electricity consumers choosing a fixed (blue) tariff, according to the &#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":1966,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[7],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1965","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-economy"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1965","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=1965"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1965\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/media\/1966"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=1965"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=1965"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=1965"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
