According to an update from the Ministry of Shipping, the Greek-owned Greek-owned vessel “Epaminondas”<\/b>has not been seized by the Revolutionary Guards<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that earlier, Iranian media<\/b>s reported that the Revolutionary Guards were behind the attacks on three ships in Straits of Hormuz.<\/p>\n

According to the Fars news agency, which is affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, one of the ships hit was the “Euphoria”<\/strong>flagged in Panama and owned by a United Arab Emirates-based company, which reportedly ran aground off the Iranian coast after the attack.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Iranian media reported that two other ships, the “MSC Francesca”<\/strong>flagged in Panama and the Greek-owned “Epaminondas”,<\/strong> were seized and taken to Iran, citing a statement by the Revolutionary Guards navy, which a shipping ministry denied.<\/p>\n

According to security firm Diaplous, the master of the “Epaminondas” (IMO 9153862), Liberian-flagged and managed by Maersk, said a Revolutionary Guards boat approached the ship without prior radio communication and then opened fire.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/strong>The ship, which is owned by the Greek-owned Technomar<\/strong> company owned by Giorgos Yiuroukos<\/strong>, has 21 crew members and is made up of Ukrainians and Filipinos.<\/p>\n
