{"id":2025,"date":"2026-04-22T16:39:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T13:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=2025"},"modified":"2026-04-22T16:39:00","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T13:39:00","slug":"yannis-bratakos-positive-measures-for-businesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=2025","title":{"rendered":"Yannis Bratakos: Positive measures for businesses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Athens, positively welcomes the <a href=\"https:\/\/tomanifesto.gr\/anakoinoseis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announcements <\/b>of the government on the measures that <b>support<\/b> the real economy and especially <b>businesses<\/b>, which continue to operate in an environment of increased costs, limited liquidity and international uncertainty.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This was noted by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, <b>Giannis Bratis,<\/b> following the announcement by the <b>prime minister<\/b> of the new package of economic support measures and their specification by the government&#8217;s economic staff.<\/p>\n<p>As Mr Bratakos said in his statement, &#8220;The <b>extension of the diesel subsidy,<\/b>continuation of support to the primary sector, <\/b>but especially the interventions to facilitate <b>debt settlement,<\/b>are moving in the right direction. Particularly important are the provisions on the extension of the out-of-court mechanism, the new possibility of 72 instalments and the lifting of bank account freezes under certain conditions, as they can provide real relief to thousands of professionals and businesses.<\/p>\n<p>We must also point out that the market needs even more stable, more horizontal and more permanent solutions, <\/b>in addition to temporary relief. Businesses are demanding an environment that supports their sustainability, competitiveness and growth prospects on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n<p>To this end, the <b>next step<\/b> should be to further reduce non-wage costs, improve access to finance, accelerate private debt arrangements and establish a more workable framework for SMEs.
