Volodymyr Zelensky<\/b> appears determined to re-open the channel of communication with the US and Russia<\/b>, seeking to formulate a framework for trilateral talks<\/b> that could lead to a de-escalation and possible end to the war<\/b>. At the same time, international balances remain fragile<\/b>, with diplomatic moves affected by parallel crises<\/b> and uncertainty around when and whether meaningful negotiations<\/b> between the involved sides<\/b> will resume.<\/p>\n
Ukrainian and US negotiators held talks on Tuesday<\/b>, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky<\/b> said today, as Kiev<\/b> seeks to resume trilateral peace talks with Russia<\/b> despite the fact that US negotiators are busy with the war in Iran<\/b>.<\/p>\nReady at any moment<\/h3>\n
“We very much hope for the resumption of trilateral meetings and return to a path leading to the end of the war,” Zelensky told reporters.<\/p>\n
“We are ready at any moment and in any format to resume negotiations,” the Ukrainian president noted.<\/p>\n
For its part, the Kremlin expressed hope that White House special envoy Steve Whitcoff and US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner will continue their visits to Russia as part of diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war in Ukraine, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported.<\/p>\n
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said it is not known at this stage when their next visit to Russia could take place, RIA reported.<\/p>\n
