The Minister of Health is taking legal action<\/b> against the chairman of Hellenic Solution<\/b>, following a href=”https:\/\/tomanifesto.gr\/kataggelies”>complaints <\/b>which he describes as slanderous and false<\/b>.<\/p>\n

A escalating political and legal confrontation<\/b> is developing into a clash<\/b> between the Health Minister and the president of the Hellenic Solution, Kyriakos Velopoulos<\/b> after public statements and videos provoked strong reactions<\/b>. Adonis Georgiades<\/b> says he is determined to take legal action, citing allegations that he claims damage his personal credibility<\/b> and distort data on the management of public funds<\/b> and European funding<\/b>. For his part, the political dialogue is turning into a frontal conflict<\/b> of intense public interest<\/b>, as both sides exchange heavy accusations<\/b> and the case is now headed to the halls of justice<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Accusations of public money misappropriation<\/h3>\n

Georgiadis announced legal action against Kyriakos Velopoulos after a video in which he said there were allegations of public money misappropriation and his name being implicated in investigations by the European Public Prosecutor. “This is not politics,” he said, calling on the Hellenic Solution president to prove his allegations before the judiciary.<\/p>\n

In a later post, the minister expressed his displeasure with Mr. Velopoulos, noting that in the past he had considered him a friend.<\/p>\n

Boundaries<\/h3>\n

Speaking at the 11th Delphi Economic Forum, Mr. Georgiades stressed that he accepts political criticism, but set clear boundaries against what he said were “smears and slander” that hurt his moral standing.<\/p>\n

Reacting to criticisms of the management of Recovery Fund resources, the minister described as “unfair and foolish” the view that the funds should have been directed to recruitment of staff instead of infrastructure renovations, noting that these funds cannot be used for salaries.<\/p>\n

At the same time, he dismissed accusations of allocating billions of euros to individuals through vouchers, calling it “unthinkable nonsense.” He said the amount allocated for vouchers to private clinics is 9 million euros, while the 2 billion euros accounted for almost all of the Recovery Fund for the Health Ministry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
