This drew the ire of Donald Trump, who cancelled the trip for his special envoys, <b>Stiv Whitcoff<\/b> and <b>Jared Kushner<\/b>. In a telephone conversation with a correspondent of the US newspaper &#8220;New York Times&#8221;, who is in Islamabad, Donald Trump told him:  <b>&#8220;Go back (to the US). There are no negotiations!!!<\/b>&#8220;. <\/p>\n<p>But he quickly changed his mind and claimed that he was willing to negotiate with someone from the government of Iran, and then boarded <b>Air Force One<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Iran&#8217;s foreign minister,<b>Abbas Araghchi<\/b> has been in contact with his counterpart in <b>Oman<\/b>. Subsequently, he has announced that he will travel to <b>Moscow<\/b>. While it is not yet known whether he will return to Islamabad. <\/p>\n<h3>Arag\u00e7i&#8217;s contacts in Oman<\/h3>\n<p>Meanwhile, Iran&#8217;s Foreign Minister <b>Abbas Arag\u00e7i<\/b> has been in contact with his counterpart in Oman. Ismail Bakai informed, therefore, that &#8220;<b>Iran attaches the utmost importance to its relations with neighboring countries and is committed to strengthening mutual trust and constructive cooperation<\/b> in a way that serves the interests of all the peoples of the region and preserves its stability.&#8221; &#8220;<b>Iranian-Omani relations<\/b> <b>are a living model of the Iranian approach, which is based on mutual respect and the realization of common interests with its southern neighbors,<\/b> Ismail Bakai stressed.<\/p>\n<h3>Sharif-Pezheshqian communication<\/h3>\n<p>After Abbas Araghchi&#8217;s departure from Islamabad, Pakistan&#8217;s Prime Minister <b>Mohammad Sebaz Sharif<\/b> had a 50-minute telephone conversation with Iran&#8217;s president, <b>Massoud Pezheskian<\/b> with the former welcoming &#8220;Iran&#8217;s decision to send to <b>Islamabad<\/b> a delegation led by Foreign Minister <b>Abbas Araghchi<\/b>&#8220;, which &#8220;held important meetings earlier today, including a detailed two-hour meeting&#8221; with him, he said. &#8220;<b>Pakistan Pakistan will continue its sincere and unrelenting efforts to promote regional peace and security<\/b>,&#8221; Mohammad Sebaz Sharif assured Massoud Pezheskian.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, President of <b>Iran<\/b>, <b>Massoud Pezheskian<\/b> thanked Prime Minister of Pakistan Mohammad Sebaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar for their &#8220;<b>important contribution to peace efforts<\/b>&#8220;.
