With the ceasefire, which went into effect on April 17 between Israel and Lebanon <\/b>torpedoed and talks in Washington last week ending inconclusive, yesterday Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu<\/b> ordered the Israeli military “to strike Hezbollah in Lebanon with force<\/b>“. <\/p>\n
Earlier today, the Israeli army issued an urgent notice to residents of seven villages north of the Litani<\/b> river to evacuate. Subsequently, the Israeli army launched attacks on targets in southern Lebanon<\/p>\n
“Israeli warplanes carried out a raid against Kfar Tibnit,” one of the seven villages in the area around the Litani River<\/p>\n
. This was reported by the Lebanese news agency “Ani”. Initial reports are of casualty<\/b>.<\/p>\n
As part of military operations, the Israel’s Air Force<\/b> earlier announced that it had “successfully intercepted a suspicious aerial target detected in the airspace where IDF forces operate in southern Lebanon.”<\/p>\n
