MRB and Global Link’s latest audience measurement, for the period 19 January to 15 March, came to confirm something that had already begun to become clear in the radio market: SKAI <\/b>100.3 remains the big player in the news <\/b> and overall one of the absolute leaders in the competition. <\/p>\n
With 8.8 percent, it was back in first place in the overall ranking, leaving Sfera 102.2 in second place with 8.7 percent. The gap may be marginal, but it’s not just distance that counts at the top. It’s endurance that counts. And SKAI shows that it has built a daily listening habit, from dawn until late at night.<\/p>\n
And in the news stations, the picture is even clearer as it leads with 8.8%, compared to Real FM 97.8’s 6.1%. <\/p>\n
Good radio can be seen in the morning, as can a good day. <\/b>In the two-hour period 06:00- 08:00, Giorgos Psaltis leads SKAI at the top, with an impressive 12.6% by 07:00. This is the only show in the competition with double-digit ratings in that zone, showing how strong the station is entering the day. It is followed by Sfera 102.2 and bwinSPOR FM 94.6, also of the SKAI group, which makes the result even more significant. Not just one station wins. An overall radio strategy wins. And then comes the heavy artillery…<\/b><\/p>\n
In the crucial two-hour period 08:00-10:00, where radio is joined in the car, in the office, in the first briefing of the day, Aris Portosalte keeps SKAI in first place. In the 08:00-09:00 hour, the station registers 9.7%, more than a point ahead of second-placed Sfera. The success has an explanation. The presenter has an opinion, he has rhythm, he has a clear line and he doesn’t mince his words. At a time when information is often drowned in noise, the listener seems to be looking for voices with an identity. Agree or disagree, you know what you’re listening to. And that on the radio counts like gold. <\/p>\n
The premiere continues past 10:00. Pavlos Tsimas, in the 10:00-11:00 band, keeps SKAI in first place with 8.5%, leaving bwinSPOR FM 94.6 in second place with Vaios Tsouchikas and Michalis Tsochos at 6.4%. This is followed by 11:00-12:00, where the duo of Giorgos Mouroutis and Dimitris Stoubou, although they have been on the programme for a few months, takes the top spot with 6.1%. This is perhaps the most interesting aspect of the measurement. SKAI does not rely only on the heavyweights<\/b>. It shows that it can put new formats on the schedule and see them perform quickly. Radio has a tradition, but it doesn’t live by the trappings of the past. It needs daily proof. <\/b><\/p>\n
In the 12:00-14:00 band, the dominance continues. Manos Voularinos at 12:00-13:00 brings SKAI to 7.1%, while Vassilis Chiotis and Notis Papadopoulos then keep the station in first place. Next to them, Pepper 96.6, also of the group, appears as the top music station of the two-hour slot, with Varvara Savvidis followed by Lefteris Kefalas. At 14:00-15:00, Spyros Mallis’s magazino holds the top spot again with 7.1%, while at 15:00-16:00 Maria Anastasopoulou and Yannis Kolokythas continue the absolute top spot in the midday zone, with 7%. In the afternoon, Christos Koutras and Giannis Ntsounos return SKY to the top spot at 17:00-18:00, with 7.3%. Behind them comes bwinSPOR FM 94,6, with Nikologiannis, Ketsetzetzoglou and Chanaka, again showing the group’s strength in sports radio. <\/p>\n
The picture does not change even in the evening. Nikos Andritsos at 20:00-21:00 brings SKAI’s evening magazino to the top with 6.3%, while Dimitris Giagzoglou at 21:00-22:00 brings the station up to 6.9%. The conclusion is simple: SKAI 100.3 doesn’t just have strong shows. It has a flow. It has duration. It has programming that keeps the listener from zone to zone.
