What exactly does the president of PASOK mean when he says that ifhe wins the election – by a one-vote margin, as he keeps saying – the country will become “strong” again? Relative to when? And, more importantly, with whom will he seek to do so?

Possibly the PASOK president has not seen that today Greece is stronger than ever. That it has armoured itself and is armoured defensively and that in terms of diplomacy and relations with other countries it has managed to become a pillar of stability and above all an example to follow.

You would be hard pressed to find a country that does not point to the example of Greece in terms of dealing with crisis and especially in terms of developing its economy . The IMF’s provisions for debt reduction only come to confirm the momentum that is being registered and that at the end of the day allows the country to face crisises without damaging both its prestige and its economy.

On the contrary, it appears as a country that does not increase taxes and does not reduce spending as other countries do, while providing direct support to society, maintaining the social cohesion that some insist on trying to disturb.

In externally the country is seen as a pillar of stability. It is being transformed into an energy hub and at the same time it is shaping conditions for its transformation into a producer country through the processes of starting exploration and extraction.

His deterrent power, as it has been and continues to be shaped, is evident in all directions. The recent defensive support to Cyprus has made this clear in every direction. It remains on the right side of history by constantly developing relationships both transatlantic and intra-European.

For Kyriakos Mitsotakis, interventionism at EU level has been on record since 2020 and especially on the pandemic and its management, joint decisions and the Recovery Fund, as well as in the cases of interventions on energy and the crisis in EU member states. The common defence policy is added to the above, the SAFE programme and all decisions taken regarding the present and future of Europe are also taken through Greece.

The EEZ has been signed with Italy and Egypt, the revisionist tendencies of neighbours such as Turkey are being dealt with seriously, without changing in the slightest Greece’s firm positions and without the slightest concession in terms of sovereign rights. On the contrary.

So either the President of PASOK wants to say something else or he expressed himself in a b>bipartisan way regarding serious issues such as foreign policy and Greece’s presence in the international arena.

Nikos Androulakis said that with PASOK “we will turn the page and become a strong Greece again”.
Meaning?
