{"id":2858,"date":"2026-04-27T22:30:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T19:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=2858"},"modified":"2026-04-27T22:30:00","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T19:30:00","slug":"international-front-of-90-countries-with-the-participation-of-greece-for-freedom-of-navigation-in-hormuz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=2858","title":{"rendered":"International front of 90 countries with the participation of Greece for freedom of navigation in Hormuz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-path-to-node=\"1\"> <b>Greece<\/b> has co-signed <b>a joint statement<\/b> to the <b>UN<\/b> condemning <b>Iranian<\/b> actions that threaten global security and supply chains.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\"><b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Greece<\/b> was strongly present<\/b> at a <b>wide international initiative<\/b> to defend the sea lanes, which took place at the <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"134\">United Nations<\/b> headquarters. <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\"><b>More than 90 states<\/b>, through a joint statement read by the <b>Foreign Minister of Bahrain<\/b>, expressed their deep concern over the escalating tensions in the <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"318\">Sea of Hormuz<\/b>, warning of the global consequences of a potential trade disruption.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">The international community focused on the need to adhere to <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"52\">Security Council Resolution 2817<\/b>, denouncing Iran&#8217;s attacks and attempts to impose illegal restrictions on <b>navigation<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">According to the statement, freedom of the seas is a cornerstone of <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"273\">global prosperity<\/b>, and any attempt to undermine it is against international stability.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\"><b>The participating countries placed particular emphasis on the following points<\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"5\">\n<li>Full support for the resolution that &#8220;<b data-path-to-node=\"5,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"35\">condemns Iran&#8217;s attacks against its neighbours<\/b>&#8220;.<\/li>\n<li>Rejecting any attempt to &#8220;<b data-path-to-node=\"5,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"33\">impose tolls<\/b>&#8221;
