“In the DNA<\/b> of our party is the absolute respect for Justice<\/b>, the fight for a quality Democracy <\/b>and for the separation of powers.” <\/p>\n
With this phrase<\/b>, on Friday at Delphi<\/b>, Nikos Androulakis<\/b> described the identity<\/b> of PASOK<\/b>. Three days later, he called it a “diversion<\/b>“. The DNA<\/b>, after all, lasted as long as a three days<\/b>.<\/p>\n
In Delphi, everything was tidy<\/b>. Institutional discourse, clear wording, respect for the rules. An image that aimed to show solemnity<\/b> and stability<\/b>. Not many days passed and the same Justice<\/b> was in the crosshairs. Not just as an object of controversy, but as an example to denounce<\/b>.<\/p>\n
The contradiction<\/b>is simple. When you talk about “absolute respect”, you leave no footnotes. There is no “yes, but”<\/b>. If every decision that doesn’t satisfy you is dubbed a “deflection”, then respect becomes a tool, not a principle.<\/p>\n
The crux of the matter is concrete. The Justice has ruled that there is no new evidence<\/b> to reopen the file. That is the basis of any such process. Without new data<\/b>, there is no reopening. It is not a policy option. It is the way the system works.<\/p>\n
Instead, intensity<\/b> was chosen. Heavy language, high tones, accusations of institutional deviation<\/b>. It’s a familiar tactic. It offers easy appeal, but hardly stands the test of time. For it turns a legal crisis into a political conflict.<\/p>\n
And so the original slogan returns as a question. Which is the DNA after all?<\/b> That of composure or that of instant reaction? The answer cannot change from week to week without a cost to credibility.<\/p>\n
In the end, there is the basic one. Institutions are not a field for impressions. Justice does not operate by applause<\/b> or disapproval<\/b>. We are not in a stadium.
