The Three Seas initiative ensures, through connectivity, national security and economic growth at the same time, President of the Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas, <\/b>from Dubrovnik.<\/b><\/p>\n
In a statement after the conclusion of the 11th Summit of the Three Seas Initiative<\/b>, in Dubrovnik, Konstantinos Tasoulas noted that “connectivity in the energy, transport and digital development is key to national security and economic development”.<\/p>\n
He said that “at the Three Seas Initiative Business Forum today, here in Dubrovnik, the review of the ten-year existence of this initiative was discussed. We unanimously concluded that this Three Seas Initiative ensures, through connectivity, national security and economic growth at the same time.<\/b> Connectivity in the energy sector, in the transport sector and in the digital development sector is key to national security and economic growth.”<\/p>\n
The President of the Republic noted that “Greece, even though it has only been a member of this initiative for three years, has a lot of potential and is a leader in connectivity, which is the goal and requirement of this initiative<\/b>. Through Greece, energy will be increasingly directed northwards, contributing to the energy sufficiency of Central and South-Eastern Europe<\/b>“. “So, from here, the national security and the economic development of all these countries participating in the Initiative is supported, thanks to Greece’s participation and thanks to Greece’s political will to lead in this field,” he added.<\/p>\n
Earlier, in his intervention at the Presidents’ Meeting at the Business Forum, Tasoulas, responding to a question on the future of the Three Seas Initiative Summit, noted that “Greece is a member since 2023, but we have adopted the original idea. This same initiative, in my opinion, redefines and extends our borders, our energy borders, our digital borders and our transport borders<\/b>.”<\/p>\nGreece is a gateway for natural gas<\/h3>\n
He also argued that “Greece has become a key gateway for natural gas to the north, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine and thus we are expanding our potential.<\/b> This makes us more powerful and, of course, we are pioneers in this project. In fact, I believe that we are moving faster than the European Union and we are an example for the European Union<\/b>.”<\/p>\n
Then, Mr. Tasoulas stressed that “as far as the geopolitical crisis we are facing today, with the war in Ukraine and the Middle East<\/b> is concerned, what is happening in our region – in Central, Southwest and Southeast Europe – is the answer to our concerns. We have strong concerns because of the conflicts, but we also have the answers.”<\/p>\n
“After the wars, we will continue to work together in three areas – transport, energy and digital connectivity. This cooperation will make us stronger, more productive and more efficient.
