Ms. Sdoukou, referring to the letter of the five deputies of the Southwest, who raise the issue of changes in the model of governance, stressed “As regards the letter of our five MPs, I have no doubt about the good intentions of this letter, because they express with respect and maturity, in their arguments that improvements can be made in the functioning of the government and that the role of the MP<\/strong> can be upgraded. So, I don’t see a problem with publishing such a letter<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

“And I would say to you – because many people also associate it with timing, but it happened at the time of the pre-conference when we are discussing the staffer. Why? This is the right time to express<\/b> such remarks. We are in a pre-conference period<\/b> in the New Democracy<\/b>.”<\/p>\n

And he added “At New Democracy we have a lively dialogue. There is no timing for this, that it has to be done now or it has to be done later. A living organism every day is debating.”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the same time, he noted “I believe that every opinion is welcome. Beyond that, in discussing the executive state, which was the first piece of legislation brought in by the New Democracy government, let me remind you in 2019 after the elections. And it was the first because the Prime Minister was well aware of the dysfunctions in the functioning of the state and he had a clear plan on how the government would function more efficiently.”<\/p>\n
