Strident criticism<\/b> of the president of PASOK <\/b>was levelled by minister Environment and Energy<\/b>, responding to the opposition’s accusations from the floor of the Parliament<\/b>. <\/p>\n
Mr Stavros Papastavrou<\/b> personally accused Mr Nikos Androulakis<\/b> for lack of strategic direction, stressing that the current situation requires seriousness and not instability.<\/p>\n
Specifically, the minister stressed<\/b>:<\/p>\n
“In a period of unprecedented geopolitical turbulence and generalized political instability, I feel that you have lost your political orientation<\/b>“.<\/p>\n
Further, Papastavrou, addressing Nikos Androulakis<\/strong>, told him that “you are investing in an overflowing toxicity, in an inflation of complaints, in a militancy of voices and cries<\/b>, when essentially this is a role that does not lead uphill, is not a position of responsibility, leads to a downhill slide of intolerance and toxicity. And our country has paid for this in the past.”<\/p>\n “Seeing the political opponent as an enemy that must be exterminated does not lead our country institutionally forward<\/b>. You say correctly, we are not entitled to judge a court decision. Obviously, yes. Criticism, yes. Sharp criticism, yes. Harsh criticism, yes. But not denial in denial. But not denunciation of denunciation. No erosion of institutions<\/b>. We cannot have justice a la carte<\/b>. Some decisions do us, some don’t. This is dangerous for all of us,” he further pointed out.<\/p>\n “The institutional way of dealing with justice is important for all of us<\/b>. And I want to hope that the criticism that is made doesn’t deviate into talk like chickens, character assassination and the other things you said. Now, you have said about the Greek citizen and the proposals you have made,” Papastavrou<\/b> added. <\/p>\n “You did not say a word<\/b> about the citizens who are favoured and who are concerned by this bill. There are 300,000 people in western Greece where this bill will with this bill, the largest photovoltaic community energy project in our country. It will benefit 150,000 farmers. You didn’t say anything<\/b>. It will benefit 17,000 vulnerable households. You said nothing<\/b>. It will benefit. The mayor of Patmos is here. You said nothing. It will favour property owners who are suffering. You said nothing. The mayor of Ioannina came, the mayor of Nafplio. 425,000 of our fellow citizens are suffocated by Natura zone four. You said nothing<\/b>. You know, in practice, real politics is about solving citizens’ problems. And that is where we will be judged. We will be judged, the citizens are asking for it. Plan and results.
