A video on Instagram<\/b> to showcase the government’s positive measures for workers <\/b>was posted on Friday by Kyriakos Mitsotakis<\/b> wishing “good First of May<\/b>“.<\/p>\n

In fact, on the occasion of Akylas<\/b>‘s participation with Ferto in this year’s Eurovision<\/b>, the prime minister begins the video<\/b>with the line “before we see if Akylas<\/b> gets us, see what we have brought for the workers”. <\/p>\n

In listing the measures for workers, Kyriakos Mitsotakis mentions:<\/b> <\/h4>\n
    \n
  • the increase of the minimum wage<\/b> from 650 euros in 2019 to 920 euros today<\/b> the reduction of unemployment<\/b> by 10 points, i.e. more than 550.000 new jobs <\/li>\n
  • the zero tax for young workers<\/b> under 25 years of age and a tax cut for all with a focus on families with children <\/li>\n
  • the freeing up of the three-year<\/b> tax after 12 full years which means an additional wage increase <\/li>\n
  • the reintroduction of collective agreements<\/b> <\/li>\n
  • the reduction of social security contributions<\/b> by 5,4 points <\/li>\n
  • \n
  • the extension of maternity allowance<\/b> in the private sector from 6 to 9 months <\/li>\n
  • and perhaps most importantly: the digital job card<\/b> for nearly 2 million workers so that the hours you work are actually recorded. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    “You certainly won’t say little. Because today you will hear many easy slogans of sensationalism<\/b> but also many unworkable proposals we respond with our work<\/b>,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis concludes. <\/p>\n
