The Syriza<\/b> Member of Parliament<\/a> criticises Alexis Tsipras’s manifesto<\/b>, arguing that critical pillars<\/b> for economy, justice and redistribution of power<\/b> are missing.<\/p>\n
New political spikes and intense public dialogue<\/b> provoke Alexis Tsipras’s manifesto<\/b> for the next day of the progressive party, with Paul Polakis<\/b> intervening with criticism that opens up new fronts of debate<\/b>. The Syriza-Progressive Alliance MP raises questions about the content and direction of the proposals<\/b>, pointing out points of convergence<\/b> but also critical differences in areas such as the economy<\/b>, Justice<\/b> and tax policy<\/b>. His statement is<\/b> adding tension to the public debate around the project of progressive convergence<\/b>, highlighting different perspectives<\/b> on the proposed framework<\/b>.<\/p>\n
The document prepared by the Working Group of INAT<\/b> on the co-existence of the three main currents of the contemporary left<\/b>, Social Democracy<\/b>, the Radical Left and Political Ecology<\/b>, published today by Alexis Tsipras, was commented on in a post by Pavlos Polakis<\/b>. The Syriza<\/b> MP strongly criticized the former prime minister’s<\/b> “manifesto”, noting that although there are common points<\/b> with the existing framework<\/b>, he identifies significant shortcomings and differences in critical areas of the economy<\/b>, public administration and justice<\/b>.<\/p>\nThe spikes<\/h3>\n
In a post on social media, he said: “From the positions of the last congress of June 2025, the SYRIZA-PS, the difference is what? Most of what is written in the institute’s text is contained in the positions and decision of the congress” while concluding by noting that: “We need to implement a program socially necessary, popularly understandable, in CONTRAST with the oligarchy of the interconnection, applicable in TODAY by a left-progressive government to change the living conditions of the working majority and the new generation!”<\/p>\n

Three brief remarks: <\/p>\n
1) From the positions of the last congress of June 2025, of SYRIZA-PS ,the difference is what?
Most of what is written in the text of the institute is contained in the positions and the decision of the conference (and more “advanced” I would say photo 2-3) <\/p>\n
2) From the “6 PILLARS” (photo 4) that I have highlighted as a candidate for president of SYRIZA I ,in the 4 pillars described in the text there ARE TWO KEY ones !!!(not by chance, obviously) <\/p>\n
-The reacquisition by the PUBLIC of strategic sectors of the economy (National Bank, PPC, HELPE etc.)Without this neither a change of production model will take place, nor will there be a redistribution of wealth !!! <\/p>\n
–Basic and COMPREHENSIVE changes in JURISDICTION. Generalities are fine, but without a change in the current corps of judges and without a system of investigation and adjudication in the foreseeable horizon of 2-3 years of cases of corruption of public money NOTHING WILL CHANGE!!! <\/p>\n
3) And in the other pillars there are small but VERY CRITICAL omissions.
Four small examples:
– Will local government be endowed with AUTHORITY? What kind of decentralization are we talking about?
-Decent pay in health and education is at least a doubling of the pay in the immediate time horizon of the functionaries and not the generic “decent pay” again.Otherwise doctors for example DON’T GET BACK !!!
-The “progressive taxation” means that you are STILL stating that dividends are taxed at a minimum of 30% average!
Otherwise they will pay it themselves!
-What exactly does the text say about private debt? With the auctions, the surfers, etc.? As Syriza we have made our position clear! <\/p>\n
There are other “small” but crucial differences (e.g. renewable energy – energy security – lignites – gas) but I’ll stop here. <\/p>\n
That’s first and to repeat once again what I have said many times: <\/p>\n
UNITY of progressive-democratic-leftist forces ,MUST AND WILL EXIST when based on a PROGRAM that is :
-Socially necessary
-Popularly understood
-In CONTRAST with the oligarchy of the complex
-Applicable in TODAY by a left-progressive government to change the living conditions of the working majority and the new generation!”<\/p>\n
