Disruption was caused at Araxos airport<\/b> during the first arrival of a TUI<\/b> aircraft<\/b>, when in circumstances under investigation, a boarding ladder<\/b> on which journalists and photojournalists<\/b> were attending to cover the event<\/b> collapsed. The fall noted injuries to three people<\/b>, who were taken for medical attention<\/b>, and the incident raises questions about the organisation<\/b> and the safety measures taken at the venue<\/b>.<\/p>\n

A serious incident occurred at Araxos airport<\/b> during the first landing<\/b> of a TUI Boeing 737-8 aircraft, named “Patra”<\/b>, when a collapsed boarding ladder<\/b> on which journalists and photojournalists<\/b> had climbed<\/b> to cover the event<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The accident <\/h3>\n

According to tempo24.news, three people were injured by the fall to the ground: a journalist from Athens, a cameraman and a photojournalist from Patras, who suffered injuries to their limbs and were evacuated by ambulances of the ambulance service to the hospital.<\/p>\n

The rest of the media representatives present suffered minor injuries and it was not deemed necessary to transport them to a hospital.<\/p>\n

As pelop.gr reports, the incident allegedly began when, during the process of covering the event, company officials indicated to journalists and photojournalists to climb a boarding staircase in order to ensure better shots. About 10 to 15 people were reportedly gathered on the ladder, which led to its collapse.<\/p>\n
