The Londino<\/strong> is the next stage of the Rebrain Greece<\/strong> initiative, which aims to attract qualified Greeks from the diaspora and connect them to the Greek market employment. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The event will take place on 9 May 2026<\/strong> at the London Hilton Metropole<\/strong>. Participating 35 major business groups<\/strong> operating in Greece. They offer hundreds of highly qualified positions. <\/p>\n

And the positions cover key sectors. Among them are financial<\/strong>, energy<\/strong>, manufacturing<\/strong>, industry<\/strong>, health<\/strong>, pharmaceuticals<\/strong>, transport<\/strong>, tourism<\/strong>, media<\/strong> and consultancy services<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Niki Kerameos: “Greece of 2026 offers significant professional opportunities”<\/h3>\n

Speaking to APE-MPE, the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Niki Kerameos, states: “The “Rebrain Greece” extroversion action takes place on May 9 in London, with the participation of 35 of the largest groups of companies operating in Greece and looking for qualified personnel. <\/p>\n

This is a real opportunity for our compatriots who are in the UK and wish to explore the possibility of returning to our country. <\/p>\n

Greece in 2026 is competitive and offers significant career opportunities. <\/p>\n

Over the period 2010-2024, around 730,000 of our fellow citizens left Greece, while over 470,000 have already returned. We expect the repatriation of our compatriots, we inform about the labour market in our country and the opportunities offered. <\/p>\n

We are not complacent, on the contrary, we are intensifying our efforts to ensure that the brilliant minds that left return to our country.” <\/p>\n

This action has already been seen in cities such as Amsterdam<\/strong>, Dusseldorf<\/strong>, Stuttgart<\/strong> and New York<\/strong>. In total, more than 6,500 visitors<\/strong> and more than 120 business missions<\/strong> have participated. <\/p>\n

And the initiative is part of a strategy to address the brain drain<\/b> with the aim of enhancing brain gain<\/strong> and the return of skilled professionals. <\/p>\n

According to Eurostat<\/strong> data for the period 2010-2024, 734,973 citizens<\/strong> left Greece. Of these, 473,042 have returned<\/strong>, with the repatriation rate reaching 64%<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

2024<\/strong> recorded a positive balance of migration flows, with +19,852 returns<\/b>, the second positive performance since 2009. <\/p>\n

In parallel, measures are being implemented for the return of workers. These include a 50% income tax cut for seven years<\/strong> for those who return. The arrangement now also covers those working in the public sector<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Special procedures also apply to overseas doctors. Faster recognition of qualifications is foreseen for professionals from countries such as United Kingdom<\/strong>, United States<\/strong>, Canada<\/strong>, Switzerland<\/strong>, Australia<\/strong> and New Zealand<\/strong>. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
