On <strong data-start=\"904\" data-end=\"914\">Thursday<\/strong>, further heat is expected, with mercury reaching as high as <strong data-start=\"1000\" data-end=\"1011\">28-30\u00b0C<\/strong> in several areas. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1034\" data-end=\"1310\">Our focus turns to the end of the week, as there is a possibility of <strong data-start=\"1116\" data-end=\"1148\">transport of warm air masses<\/strong> from <strong data-start=\"1156\" data-end=\"1173\">North Africa<\/strong>, which may lead to <strong data-start=\"1209\" data-end=\"1254\">above normal<\/strong> temperatures for the season, especially during the <strong data-start=\"1280\" data-end=\"1309\">weekend of 9-10 May<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1312\" data-end=\"1556\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">However, as noted, this scenario has yet to be <strong data-start=\"1379\" data-end=\"1398\">specified<\/strong>, as further <strong data-start=\"1427\" data-end=\"1469\">confirmation from the predictive models<\/strong> is needed to determine the <strong data-start=\"1490\" data-end=\"1500\">extent<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1507\" data-end=\"1519\">duration<\/strong> of the eventual <strong data-start=\"1536\" data-end=\"1555\">heat invasion<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h3>Kairos: Unusual heat and thunderstorms in May<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"110\" data-end=\"308\">The <strong data-start=\"112\" data-end=\"122\">weather<\/strong> in May in <strong data-start=\"137\" data-end=\"147\">Europe<\/strong> is expected to experience <strong data-start=\"174\" data-end=\"208\">extraordinarily high temperatures<\/strong> but also periods of <strong data-start=\"231\" data-end=\"245\">storms<\/strong>, according to the latest forecasts from <strong data-start=\"291\" data-end=\"307\">meteorologists<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"310\" data-end=\"672\">Early this month, <strong data-start=\"333\" data-end=\"343\">North<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"350\" data-end=\"369\">Central Europe<\/strong> will experience particularly <strong data-start=\"391\" data-end=\"418\">temperate weather<\/strong>, and as May progresses, the <strong data-start=\"447\" data-end=\"456\">warm weather<\/strong> will extend almost across the continent. This <strong data-start=\"508\" data-end=\"544\">gradual warming<\/strong> is expected to increase demand for <strong data-start=\"581\" data-end=\"595\">climate<\/strong>, while also boosting <strong data-start=\"637\" data-end=\"649\">drought<\/strong> in some areas.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"674\" data-end=\"1076\">According to meteorologist William Henneberg of the <strong data-start=\"727\" data-end=\"754\">Commodity Weather Group<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"764\" data-end=\"774\">wave of heat<\/strong> that will peak in the second week of May will be temporarily interrupted by <strong data-start=\"848\" data-end=\"862\">storms<\/strong>. These systems will mainly affect <strong data-start=\"906\" data-end=\"916\">North<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"925\" data-end=\"945\">Eastern Europe<\/strong>, dropping temperatures by <strong data-start=\"977\" data-end=\"996\">2 to 4 degrees<\/strong> below normal.
