As part of the &#8220;West Road Culture&#8221; programme, <b>students had the opportunity to learn about the basic rules of safety<\/b> on the road through <b>demonstrations and educational activities<\/b> that highlight the <b>dangers of careless driving<\/b> and the importance of <b>prevention<\/b>. The initiative is part of a wider strategy to enhance road safety<\/b>, with the aim of <b>reducing<b>collisions<\/b> and developing <b>responsible behaviour<\/b> in younger generations<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The launch of traffic education<\/b> and road safety <b>activities<\/b> in schools in West Attica was attended by the Minister of Citizen Protection, Michael Chrysochoidis<\/b>, in the framework of the <b>&#8220;West Road Culture&#8221;<\/b> educational programme organised by the <b>Development Association of West Attica<\/b>.<\/p>\n<h3>The actions<\/h3>\n<p>The actions started from the 40th Primary School of Peristeri, with the participation of about 70 students, while the program aims to strengthen the road awareness of children and to shape responsible driving behavior from an early age.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the students, the minister highlighted the dangers of violating the Road Traffic Code, referring among others to not wearing a helmet, using a mobile phone while driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Road Traffic Code is a tool that we all have to respect, it exists in all countries of the world, even in the most underdeveloped country. It is the law that defines how we drive. So our great commitment and responsibility, and our great promise here today, is, all of us together, to respect the Highway Code&#8230; to be absolutely respectful in applying the law, to protect ourselves and others.
