{"id":4187,"date":"2026-05-06T06:56:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T03:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=4187"},"modified":"2026-05-06T06:56:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T03:56:00","slug":"not-to-the-millimetre-we-got-away-with-and-five-a-documentary-that-irreparably-exposes-tsipras","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=4187","title":{"rendered":"Not to the&#8230; millimetre, we got away with &#8220;and five&#8221;: a documentary that irreparably exposes Tsipras"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The documentary &#8220;At a Thousandth&#8221; &#8211; from the first of six episodes &#8211; literally makes one shudder at the <b>Tsipras<\/b> government and what the country has escaped.<\/p>\n<p>The image of the ministers who took over the fate of the country, the things they say about <b>the lies they told the people<\/b> in order to get <b>SYRIZA<\/b> to take power with the help of <b>ANEL<\/b>&#8216;s <b>Panos Kammenos<\/b> as well as the recording of events that have seen the light of day for the first time <b>causes literal chills.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Even the title of the six-episode documentary, &#8220;At a Thousandth&#8221;, may turn out to be somewhat&#8230; loose in the end, since essentially<b>everything indicates that we got away with it at &#8220;and five&#8221;, <\/b>maybe more, given what happened to the country and its citizens in the period 2015-2019, with the third and unnecessary &#8211; before 2015- <b>amnesty,<\/b> <b>the additional 100 billion. euros<\/b> that it cost Greeks, <b>the closed banks and capital controls, the 29 new taxes<\/b> that destroyed the middle class, the infamous Katrougalos law that should normally be called the Tsipras law<\/b> since he was the prime minister, and much much more.<\/p>\n<p>The laxity of <b>Giorgos Stathakis<\/b>, the revelations of <b>Panagiotis Lafazanis,<\/b>the reports of the German ambassador and of the secret meeting he had with Alexis Tsipras before he became prime minister &#8211; when he was shouting <b>&#8220;go back, Madame Merkel&#8221;<\/b> &#8211; and when he declared that the drums would ring and the markets would dance &#8211; evoke memories, but also show the true face of those who ruled.<\/p>\n<p>Alexis Tsipras, as a rebel without a cause who was stirring up the&#8230; crowds, <b>behind the stage sending messages to the German Chancellor <\/b>that there would be no dramatic changes if he was elected, essentially not listening to what he was saying in public, but the people were listening.<\/p>\n<p>The cynical reports from former ministers of the re-emerging central political scene&#8230; messiah are along the lines of <b>&#8220;we were saying some&#8230; nonsense to pass the time&#8221;. <\/b>Nonsense about tearing up the memoranda with a law and an article, not meeting obligations to creditors and not recognizing Greek debt.<\/p>\n<p>If anyone has the opportunity and can watch this first episode, they will see that <b>the Thessaloniki programme was the biggest political fraud<\/b> against a people whose instrumentalisation they attempted to instrumentalise by stepping on the emotion and indignation they themselves cultivated.<\/p>\n<p>It is logical that Alexis Tsipras does not want to speak. What is there to say?
