{"id":4203,"date":"2026-05-06T07:12:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T04:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=4203"},"modified":"2026-05-06T07:12:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T04:12:00","slug":"a-lot-of-nerves-in-pasok-the-angry-androulakis-and-the-irritated-executives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=4203","title":{"rendered":"A lot of nerves in PASOK: the angry Androulakis and the irritated executives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nerves abound in <b>PASOK.<\/b> The needle is stuck and the president is a stalwart <b>Nikolas (Androulakis)<\/b> <b>except for his suitability to be prime minister.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not just Nikos Androulakis who appears angry about everything and with everyone, it&#8217;s also the party&#8217;s executives who show intense irritation at seeing time ticking away and <b>the needle barely moving just to show that it exists. <\/b>But even worse is the fact that <b>their leader has nothing to do with the famous&#8230; prime ministership.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The PASOK president, when asked on <b>polls<\/b> on suitability includes the names of the leaders of the parties that currently exist, <b>he is in second to fourth place,<\/b> if we do not include in the list the nobody who continues to make a career in second place. Occasionally <b>he is overtaken<\/b> by <b>Zoe Konstantopoulou<\/b> and <b>Kyriakos Velopoulos, <\/b>while the percentages are <b>single digits.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>When the question is asked without including names, <b>Nikos Androulakis drops further down the list. <\/b>But what&#8217;s causing nerves for him and irritation for others is that <b>Alexis Tsipras is in second place.<\/b> And although he too has single-digit percentages<\/b> at this stage, the problem is that he has no&#8230; party. <\/b>He is a potential leader, which in theory could mean an even higher percentage when he becomes a party.<\/p>\n<p>In any case, all the <b>polls refute the narrative of Nikos Androulakis<\/b> and his cohorts that he will win the next national election even by one vote. In fact, <b>they <b>bring the leader of PASOK and his party to fight for second place, which may evolve into a fight for&#8230; third place.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The tactics he has chosen, apart from being reminiscent of the days of the 1980s in the most extreme form, are also catastrophic, <b>showing a misery<\/b>which at the end of the day does not correspond to everyday life and especially to the real problems of the citizens.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The party&#8217;s turn to the left brings it face to face with the prototype of catastrophology and populism<\/b> in Alexis Tsipras who, if anything, knows this <b>game better,<\/b> regardless of the fact that he no longer cuts tickets, as citizens seem to choose stability over banalisation.<\/p>\n<p>PASOK is experiencing days of agony. The small, barely upward, percentages do not allow for a firewall. They are also creating <b>obstacles to the famous enlargement<\/b>as executives who move in the Left are waiting for Tsipras&#8217; moves before making decisions on which way to (re)move.<\/p>\n<p><b>Androulakis&#8217; anger is registered in all his public appearances.<\/b> And besides acting as a deterrent to a large number of centrist voters, he maintains a toxicity that touches and sometimes <b>exceeds extremes<\/b>, with personal attacks and characterizations that are not consistent with a party like the one he represents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are a lot of nerves in PASOK.
