<\/figure>\nThe total budget<\/b> of the project according to the study is 661.200<\/b> (plus VAT), of which the Attica Region<\/b> will cover from its own resources up to the amount of 571,520<\/b> (plus VAT), while the Municipality of Kropias will cover the remaining 89.680 euros (plus VAT).<\/p>\n
The intervention is considered absolutely necessary, as the existing state of the turf on the pitch is considered to be particularly burdened, due to the age of the stadium and the intensive use of the local football academies and athletes in the area.<\/p>\n
According to the technical description of the study, the project includes an integrated set of interventions that will ensure the creation of a modern and high quality playing field. In particular, it is envisaged that dismantling of the existing turf<\/b>, general excavation to a depth of approximately 75 cm and the installation of a new, modern drainage system<\/b> will ensure proper water drainage and the long-term durability of the pitch.<\/p>\n
In parallel, a new synthetic turf<\/b> will be installed, which will fully comply with FIFA requirements and specifications<\/b>, with its quality and suitability certified through the required international certificates. In addition, the project includes the installation of new, fixed, lightweight aluminium football pitches, fully equipped with nets, as well as the installation of a modern automatic watering system<\/b>.<\/p>\n
On completion of the works, the stadium will acquire modern specifications, will be safe and functional<\/b> so that it can serve the daily needs of local clubs, academies and citizens, enhancing participation in sport and the creative use of leisure time.<\/p>\n
The tendering and execution of the project will be carried out by the Municipality of Kropias<\/b>, aiming at the immediate implementation<\/b> and the delivery of a fully upgraded sports facility to the local community.<\/p>\n
As Attica Regional Governor Nikos Hardalias<\/b> stressed after the signing of the programmatic contract:<\/p>\n
“The reconstruction of the turf at the “Antonis Prieftis” stadium in Koropi responds to a real and long-standing need of the local community. Sports infrastructure is not a luxury; it is a key pillar of social cohesion, health and development, especially for the younger generation.<\/p>\n
In the Region of Attica, we proceed with plan and consistency in the implementation of projects that have a direct impact on the daily lives of citizens. We invest in infrastructure that offers safety, quality and functionality, creating the conditions for our children to play sports in modern and suitable facilities.<\/p>\n
We are upgrading a facility that is used daily by dozens of young athletes, academies and citizens of the region. Through the interventions we are implementing, we are ensuring that the stadium meets high international standards, offering safety and quality in its use. Of particular importance is also the fact that we invest in modern technical solutions, such as the drainage system and the certified synthetic turf, which ensure the long-term sustainability of the project and reduce the need for maintenance.<\/p>\n
We work closely with the Municipality of Kropias, as well as with all the Municipalities of Attica, in order to deliver projects of substance, with transparency and efficiency. We listen to needs by providing solutions that have a measurable effect. Our goal is clear: every neighbourhood in Attica should have modern and safe sports infrastructure that is accessible to all.”<\/p>\n
For his part, the Mayor of Kropias Dimitris Kyousis said that<\/b>. The upgrade of the sports infrastructure of the stadium will create the right conditions for more games to take place under excellent conditions and with the safety required for athletes, young and old, so that sports events can proceed smoothly without injuries.”<\/p>\n
In addition to the above-mentioned, the Director of Development Planning of the Region of Attica, Mary Miska, was also present at the signing of the programmatic contract.<\/p>\n
