In camera – as requested by attorneys for the victims – the trial of the founder of the Ark of the World<\/strong>, who is accused of indecent exposure<\/a> to two adults, continues.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today, a prosecution proposal involving the finances of the Ark<\/strong> was made public, with Father Anthony<\/strong> facing felony charges, according to ERT.<\/p>\n

Specifically, for the first count, Father Anthony was convicted and in the second degree of abuse<\/strong>. His sentence is nine years and six months, with a suspended sentence of eight years. However, it was deemed redeemable for 10 euros per day, totalling about 60,000 euros. The court granted a stay of execution of the sentence until the case is heard by the Supreme Court, on condition of the payment of a financial guarantee. <\/p>\n

In the second case, he faces charges of indecent assault against two minors<\/strong> with the victims now aged 15 and 19. The victims’ lawyers filed a motion to hold the trial in camera, which was granted by the bench.<\/p>\n

In the third case, the prosecution’s motion concludes that both Father Antonios and Stamatia Georganti, as well as another executive of the organization should be tried before the Three-Member Criminal Court of Appeal on a case-by-case basis for acts of a felony nature<\/strong>, such as repeated disloyalty with damages of more than 120.000 euros, embezzlement of high value from trustees of foreign property, instigating and aiding and abetting the above acts and money laundering.<\/p>\n
