{"id":4476,"date":"2026-05-07T16:59:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T13:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=4476"},"modified":"2026-05-07T16:59:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T13:59:00","slug":"takis-theodoricakos-in-the-next-elections-we-will-rub-our-eyes-with-the-result-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=4476","title":{"rendered":"Takis Theodoricakos: In the next elections we will rub our eyes with the result (video)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">In <b>an interview<\/b> with Newsbomb.gr, <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"67\">Takis Theodoricakos<\/b> launched <b>an arrow<\/b> against <b>opposition<\/b>, accusing it of systematically cultivating <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"171\">toxicity<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">The minister stressed that the strategy of tension pursued by the rival parties is not just a political disagreement, but a dangerous situation that can undermine the stability and course of the country.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">According to <b>Theodoricako<\/b>, this toxic environment must be ended immediately. &#8220;<b>The toxicity should not last long<\/b>,&#8221; he said, sending a clear message in all directions that the government is seeking a return to a more <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"259\">substantial and constructive dialogue<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>As he says, &#8220;humanity is being rocked by two very dangerous, major wars with heavy consequences, which have <strong>terribly negative consequences for the economies<\/strong> of all countries, and this applies to Europe and of course to the Greek economy.&#8221; Therefore, as the minister points out, in order &#8220;to formulate and outline by all political forces, a national strategic plan for the next day of Greece<strong> this should be approved by the Greek people. And this can only be done through elections<\/strong>&#8221; he says. <\/p>\n<p>According to the <b>Development Minister<\/b> <strong>the country is already in a prolonged election period<\/strong> with the opposition sharpening and escalating every day what it calls a &#8220;slanderous&#8221; attack on the government. <\/p>\n<p>Mr <b>Theodoricakos<\/b> accuses the <b>opposition<\/b> of using existing cases with lies, exaggerations and divisive attacks that are forming an <strong>extremely toxic and divisive climate<\/strong>, which, he stresses, &#8220;<b>cannot drag on for long as it does the country no good<\/b>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed_media\" data-emebed-provider=\"YouTube\">\n<div class=\"dp-youtube-video dp-embed-video\" data-embed=\"HI1a-GA-xuE\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HI1a-GA-xuE?feature=oembed\">\n<div class=\"play-button\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The <b>Minister of Development<\/b> speaking on Newsbomb&#8217;s vidcast &#8220;Opposite&#8221;.gr, made no secret of his concern about the situation in the <b>Middle East<\/b>, stressing that &#8220;if the war continues and the regime of uncertainty continues, <strong>energy costs will skyrocket<\/strong>, so that we will have to face much bigger problems than the ones we are facing today.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Referring to the <b>measures<\/b> the government has taken, he said efforts are being made to <strong>stop the obscenity<\/strong> and that if these measures had not been taken, &#8220;<strong>the impact would have been much more severe for all citizens<\/strong>&#8220;. He even reveals that these measures are likely to be extended beyond June if the need arises.<\/p>\n<p>The revelation by Mr. <b>Theodoricakos<\/b> that when he took over the Ministry of Development, he found that there were <strong>hundreds of companies<\/strong> that in the previous fifteen or twenty years <strong>had received hundreds of millions of euros<\/strong> from the Development Law <strong>to make investments<\/strong> and did not do so<\/strong>, which he describes as <strong>illegal, morally scandalous and unacceptable<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>According to the minister, <strong>120 million euros<\/strong> have already been returned. &#8220;We are chasing and <strong>will get back every last euro.<\/strong> You cannot be in charge of a ministry and not do everything to ensure that every last euro is properly managed. We have already got back 120 million euros. <b>We will continue. What the law provides.
