Juli\u00e3o da Barra in Lisbon. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Dendias<\/b> referred to &#8220;the open nature of the discussions&#8221;, which he said &#8220;reflect the <b>exceptional relations between Portugal and Greece<\/b>. &#8220;We confirmed once again,&#8221; he said, &#8220;these <b>very strong relations<\/b> and of course we had the opportunity to discuss the possibility of even closer cooperation on many issues<\/b>.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">&#8220;The <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"3\">production in Portugal<\/b> and the <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"34\">supply from Greece<\/b> of <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"86\">Embraer C-390<\/b> transport aircraft is one of them.&#8221; he elaborated and continued: &#8220;It&#8217;s not just that. It&#8217;s the <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"174\">unmanned surface ships<\/b>, the <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"210\">unmanned underwater vehicles<\/b>, <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"247\">unmanned aerial vehicles<\/b>, innovation, modern technologies and negotiations on the <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"345\">security mechanism<\/b>. It&#8217;s something we&#8217;ve discussed at length and I&#8217;m glad we understand that we can easily find common ground and do a lot of things together.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">Also, views were exchanged on cooperation and coordination between the Greek and Portuguese Ministries of National Defence in the framework of the <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"143\">EU<\/b> and <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"156\">NATO<\/b>. Dendias also referred to Portugal&#8217;s &#8220;proud maritime tradition&#8221;. &#8220;You have been one of the most important empires in the history of mankind. Your <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"342\">maritime tradition<\/b> is immense,&#8221; he underlined. &#8220;Therefore, we can benefit from this relationship, from the discussions, from the way young people see the future, both in the maritime sector and in the land and air sectors. We could face <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"621\">modern challenges<\/b> together, as friendly countries, as countries with a maritime tradition, as partners in the European Union, as allies in NATO. We are together at all these different levels and I am very happy to be here with you,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">Dendias did not fail to express his desire to meet his Portuguese counterpart in <b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"105\">Athens<\/b>. After the meeting, the Greek Minister visited the premises of the <b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"184\">506th Aircraft Squadron<\/b>.
