{"id":4614,"date":"2026-05-08T17:57:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T14:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=4614"},"modified":"2026-05-08T17:57:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T14:57:00","slug":"adde-requests-repayment-of-agricultural-aid-amounting-to-16-3-million-euros-from-27193-producers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=4614","title":{"rendered":"ADDE: requests repayment of agricultural aid amounting to 16.3 million euros from 27,193 producers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-path-to-node=\"1\">The <b>ADC<\/b> has started the process of recovering <b>amounts<\/b> paid in excess to thousands of <b>claimants<\/b> <b>of agricultural subsidies<\/b> in the year <b>2023<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\"><b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Procedures control<\/b> and recovery of sums of money paid without constituting a legal claim have been activated by <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"118\">ADEA<\/b>, acting in its capacity as <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"156\">an agricultural aid payment body<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">According to official data for the year 2023, a total of <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"256\">27,193 beneficiaries<\/b> received notification for <b>repayment of funds<\/b> amounting to <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"332\">16.3 million euros<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">This intervention is part of the country&#8217;s permanent obligations to the <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"428\">European Union<\/b>, as the proper management of Community funds is strictly supervised by the <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"518\">European Commission<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">Delay in implementing these measures poses serious risks to the State budget, as <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"673\">fiscal corrections<\/b> may be imposed.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">These checks, which are carried out through <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"47\">computer cross-checks<\/b> and spatial verifications, concern both the payment of additional amounts and the search for aid that exceeded the final entitlement. <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">The <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"220\">ADEA<\/b> stresses that this is a long-standing practice that ensures transparency in the distribution of <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"325\">EU aid<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">In fact, similar procedures have already been completed for the period <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"418\">2019-2022<\/b>, during which the differences between initial payments and final amounts were identified, giving the <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"538\">producers<\/b> the opportunity to submit their comments and the necessary supporting documents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In particular:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For 2019, 9,768 beneficiaries were informed for amounts of \u20ac6.3 million<\/li>\n<li>For 2020, 11,779 beneficiaries were informed for amounts of \u20ac27.4 million<\/li>\n<li>For 2021, 19,127 beneficiaries were informed for amounts of \u20ac18.6 million<\/li>\n<li>For 2021, 19,127 beneficiaries were informed for amounts of \u20ac18.6 million<\/li>\n<li>. for 2022, 197,373 beneficiaries were informed for amounts of EUR 18.4 million<\/li>\n<li>\n<li>for 2022, 197,373 beneficiaries were informed for amounts of EUR 54.4 million<\/li>\n<li>.
