And he does so not just as if none of this has happened, but with his only self-criticism being that he should have closed the banks on the first day he won the election in January 2015.

In the face of Mr Tsipras’ dangerous populism and demagoguery, the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis is responding with actions that support the economy and our weakest citizens. Bank commissions for basic transactions have been abolished.

With the IRIS system, citizens and professionals can carry out free transactions without any charges. In addition, through the out-of-court settlement, more than 60,000 arrangements have already been made for a total of €18.6 billion in debts, with significant reductions in burdens and debt haircuts for debtors. The measures recently announced by the government reduce the threshold for joining the out-of-court settlement from €10,000 to €5,000 so that hundreds of thousands of small debtors will also benefit.

And finally, for the first time, debtors applying for a settlement on the out-of-court mechanism platform will be able to separate their main residence from the rest of their property, acting as an effective “second chance” for debtors.

With his irresponsibility and lack of any moral barrier, Alexis Tsipras is a walking danger for the country: the danger of returning to a debate about the past. His only contribution to the public debate is to reflect every time he speaks on what we have escaped from.

However, from 2019 onwards, our citizens have chosen us to take on the real problems of the country, not the rearguard battles imagined by Mr Tsipras. Therefore, no matter how much his every public intervention insults the sacrifices of citizens and common sense, ultimately his rebranded presence ends up being irrelevant because he is tragically incompetent.

</html

Pavlos Marinakis accuses Alexis Tsipras of “absence of any moral barrier” in relation to the latter’s statements today regarding the …

[3

post-4788","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-politics
["GET
