A serious blow against Hamas <\/b> has been struck by the Israeli army as it blew up an explosives production facility belonging to the Islamist group. <\/p>\n

The Israeli army<\/b> said the site, which had recently been used by Islamic Jihad as well as Hamas, was for making explosive devices and storing other weapons. <\/p>\n

Specifically, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that it struck and destroyed an Islamic Jihad<\/b> weapons manufacturing and storage facility in the northern<\/b> Strip of Gaza <\/b>yesterday. <\/p>\n

In a statement, the Israeli army said the site, which had recently been used by Islamic Jihad as well as Hamas, was dedicated to making explosive devices and storing other weapons intended to attack Israeli soldiers operating near the Yellow Line and Israeli civilians. <\/p>\n

The IDF also stressed that these attacks are part of the strategy to neutralize threats in the region and protect Israeli civilians and military forces from terrorist organizations in Gaza<\/b>. <\/p>\n
