On the occasion of the… resumption of the election rant or otherwise election chatter, we find that the sense of humour has been lost.<\/p>\n
The scene from the famous serial has been repeated: the Prime Minister, questioned by a member of parliament after the meeting of the parliamentary group of ND about the timing of the elections, he replied, “The only certainty is that they will take place after the TIF.” He didn’t want the humour to become news and revive the early election scenarios.<\/b><\/p>\n
Obviously the elections will happen someday, but from the “someday” to the point where it is considered certain that the PM has decided that the elections will be held next September or October – even naming dates like the 27th and 4th respectively (the latter date coinciding with the ND’s birthday) – shows that the sense of humour was lost.<\/b><\/p>\n
Does anyone seriously believe that Kyriakos Mitsotakis<\/b>, who has asked his MPs to stop the “election chatter” and focus on their work as he remains committed to 2027, in the midst of a global crisis watching his government shut down and the government’s… goes “for a walk” to get votes?<\/p>\n
For those who have lost their sense of humour there is a serious reading of the PM’s “quote”: That there is no chance of a surprise in 2026.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
