Two major redevelopments in the Municipality of Elliniko-Argyroupolis<\/b>, with financing of 1.85 million. euros<\/b> from resources of the Attica Region<\/b>, provide for the two programmatic agreements<\/b> signed by Nikos Hardalias, with the Giannis Konstantatos.<\/p>\n
The first<\/b> concerns the redevelopment<\/b> of the Family Park “208”,<\/b> with funding of 1.57 million euros<\/b> and the aim of the aesthetic and functional upgrading of the six acres of the park, in order to make it an open space for recreation and socialization with full accessibility for all. The works include the installation of urban furniture (<\/b>gazebos, pergolas, seating, bins, fencing, lighting), outdoor exercise and playground equipment, dog park boundaries, planting and irrigation.<\/p>\n
The second contract<\/b> concerns the execution of the immediate repair of the upgrade junction<\/b> at the former Eastern Airport<\/b> of Elliniko, with a budget of 280,000 euros.<\/b> The work aims to enhance driver and pedestrian safety<\/b>, by removing loose sections of the viaduct and inhibiting the erosion observed in parts of the viaduct. In addition, maintenance will be performed to address deterioration and dismantling with replacement of old damaged pedestrian railings.<\/p>\n
“In Attica Region<\/b> we consistently implement a comprehensive plan that turns every commitment into a measurable project for the daily life of citizens,” Mr. Hardalias<\/b> said, immediately after the signing ceremony, adding: “Urban renewal, upgrading public space and enhancing road safety are not for us fragmentary interventions, but central pillars of a comprehensive strategy for a more functional, more humane and safer Attica. In the Municipality of Elliniko-Argyroupolis, <\/b>in close and productive cooperation with our friend the Mayor, Giannis Konstantatos,<\/b> we are proceeding step by step in a wide range of interventions that are essentially changing the image of the city: From the “208” Park and the Marineio Cultural Center, to energy upgrade projects, social infrastructure and critical road interventions. With plan, speed and responsibility, we invest in projects that protect, upgrade and return to citizens public spaces and infrastructure worthy of their needs. This is our commitment: Fewer words, more tangible results.”<\/p>\n
Constantatos<\/b>, referring to the projects that affect “the daily lives of thousands of citizens,” noted: “The first concerns the bridge of the former airport in Elliniko, a state project of the 1960s, which had been left for decades to deteriorate and be abandoned, despite the fact that thousands of cars and pedestrians pass through this part of Vouliagmeni Avenue every day. With a high sense of responsibility, we are joining forces, providing a solution to the long-standing maintenance problem of the bridge.<\/p>\n
The second concerns Park “208”, a lung of urban greenery that was constructed in 2017, but was destroyed by vandalism and misuse. With funding from the Region, we will deliver back to the community a radically renovated public space, functional and safe, an oasis of greenery and recreation for the citizens not only of Argyroupolis, but also of other municipalities.”<\/p>\n
