A 22-year-old participant in the survival reality<\/strong> show “Survivor<\/strong>” is in serious condition after accident that occurred in Agios Dominios <\/strong>while he was fishing<\/b>.<\/p>\n

According to reports, the young man has suffered a partial amputation<\/b> of his left leg<\/b> and a serioustrauma<\/a><\/b> on his right ankle<\/b>.<\/p>\n

For his part, Health Minister Adonis Georgiades<\/strong>, speaking to ANT1, said that the Greek authorities have already been informed<\/b> about the incident. However, he noted, his immediate repatriation<\/b> is not currently feasible<\/b> due to his condition, adding that “we are ready to bring him at any time, as is the case with any Greek citizen<\/b>“.<\/p>\n

At the same time, in an official statement, television station Skai <\/b>said it was informed of the serious accident<\/b> that occurred during the reality survival show and expressed its deep regret and support<\/b> for the player and his family.<\/p>\n

As noted, although the program is produced entirely by an independent company<\/b> production company, the station is closely monitoring the health of the participant and says it will assist in every way possible in the medical care and possible rehabilitation<\/b> of the participant, if needed. Until the circumstances of the incident are fully clarified, it has also been decided to temporarily suspend<\/b> the broadcast of this programme.<\/p>\n

The independent company’s announcement<\/h3>\n

“Following our initial announcement regarding the serious accident<\/b> that a Survivor player had in Santo Domingo and with a sense of responsibility towards public opinion and primarily towards the player himself, we consider it necessary to provide clarifications<\/b> regarding the exact circumstances under which the incident occurred.<\/p>\n

According to the evidence so far, the accident allegedly took place when a tourist boat<\/b> injured the player, who was snorkeling<\/b> outside the reality competition.<\/p>\n

From the first moment there was immediate mobilization<\/b> to provide assistance and safe transport<\/b> of the injured man, while the relevant port authorities are investigating the cause of the incident in order to fully ascertain the circumstances.<\/p>\n

The player remains in hospital<\/b> in serious but stable<\/b> condition and out of danger.<\/p>\n

With respect to the injured person<\/b> and his family, please be responsible and avoid reproducing inaccurate information until the official investigation is complete.
