As the Prime Minister noted in a post, the nursing community is a fundamental pillar of the health, contributing decisively to ensuring the quality of the services provided, protecting human life and promoting public health.<\/b><\/p>\n
He stresses that today’s day is a “reminder of the state’s constant obligation for practical recognition and support of the work of all those who care for all of us, with actions and not only with words.”<\/b><\/p>\nThe post<\/h3>\n

Today, on the occasion of World Nurses Day, we are given another opportunity to express the State’s respect for all our nurses.<\/p>\n
But I am also given the opportunity to express my gratitude to them, as in the last few weeks I have spent a lot of time in the hospital for people I care about, personally witnessing what I already knew:the professionalism, self-denial and high sense of responsibility with which they care for patients and their families in every difficult moment.<\/b><\/p>\n
The nursing community is a fundamental pillar of the health system, making a decisive contribution to ensuring the quality of services provided, protecting human life and promoting public health. <\/p>\n
Their contribution is not only valuable, it is irreplaceable for the proper functioning of the public health system, and not only in times of health crises, such as the recent coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n
In this context, today’s day is a reminder of the State’s ongoing obligation to practically recognise and support the work of all those who care for all of us, with actions and not just words. In recent years we have increased the number of nurses and we are doing everything possible to improve their salaries as well.<\/b> However, we know that there are still outstanding issues that need to be resolved in order to further recognise and upgrade their valuable work by ensuring decent working conditions, continuous scientific training and institutional upgrading of their role in the modern health system.<\/p>\n
To this end, we are committed that within the next few months interventions will be launched to meet long-standing sectoral demands of the nursing community<\/b>, in the context of the overall upgrading of the human resources of the health system. <\/p>\n
These interventions will mainly concern the institutional recognition of the role of the nursing staff of the NHS, their further salary support and the enhancement of their educational and professional advancement opportunities.<\/p>\n
Our duty is to make the nursing profession more attractive to young people and at the same time to convince them that in the age of artificial intelligence the caring professions will always have a place and better pay in the National Health System. <\/b><\/p>\n
We thank all nurses from the bottom of our hearts and assure you that we will never stop caring for you who care for all of us.<\/p>\n
