The statement by European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice and the Rule of Law Michael McGrath following his meeting<\/b> with the Greek prime minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis<\/b> reproduced on social media by State Minister Akis Skertos<\/b>.<\/p>\n
The statement refers to Greece’s progress on all institutional and rule of law issues and reads as follows<\/b>:<\/p>\n
“I would like to highlight the excellent cooperation we have in the field of the rule of law, as well as the significant progress you have made in recent years. I believe that, without a doubt, the reforms that have been implemented and the rule of law environment here in Greece have helped you to develop and strengthen the economy. And I believe, without a doubt, that it is now increasingly recognised that certainty in terms of the rule of law enhances investor confidence, creates an environment in which businesses invest, grow and create jobs.”<\/p>\n
