Good or bad omens for him, hazy and “dark” portents rather for the country.

Images from the medieval western tradition with the skeletal figure in a black cloak and scythe (Grim Reaper), to the Greek tradition for the month of June, the Fanistis, Labataris, Labroforos, Alitropios, Orniastis, Kerasaris, Kerasinos, Liotropios, Ai-Gianitis, the Reaper. The month, dedicated to the goddess Hera, which marks the movement of the sickles among the early harvested ears of wheat and is honoured for its abundance, as that is when people gather the fruits of the earth.

This is how Tsipras wants to… ride mythology – this time – and legends to build his Ithaca, in defiance of the empty “up” and “down” squares. He is attempting a… new entry into the political scene, under the mantle of Central Left, flagged by the clearly written party slogans of SYRIZA in 2015 and, waving his scythe threateningly, wants to cut off the air to Androulakis and the… bile of the middle class and the pensioners, with new taxes and new adventures for the country.

Titles of beginning or titles of end?

The hospitable Rematia welcomed the reunion of the once ruling Left. Olga Gerovassili and Athena Linou were present, with Kostas Zacharias, Giorgos Karameros, Miltos Zambaras, Alexandros Meikopoulos and Kostas Barkas, Andreas Panagiotopoulos, Dionysis Teboneras, Nikos Bistis, Giorgos Psychogios and many party members of the Northern Sector of SYRIZA. Familiar faces, oft-told quotes, repeated promises and lost expectations.

The former prime minister spoke in a dramatic tone, with easy statements and generalized complaints about “sowing”, “fruits” and “harvest month”, and recalled those difficult days when he took the scythe in his handsto reap without mercy the illusions of the Left and the country’s prospects by implementing a heavy memorandum package.

And on Monday night, along with the Mayan breeze, he tried to convince that now “is the time” for a “progressive reboot”, the political reboot of a desperate attempt to salvage the leader’s software. Yet another operation by the only one privileged to “understand society.”

We might even think that the years of Tsipras’ political absence were barely breathing. And that his return is more than a historical necessity!

The rebranding of a politician who ruled for four and a half years, signed what he denounced then and continues to denounce today, divided and poisoned society and finally left, leaving behind the wreckage of SYRIZA to reappear as the saviour of all.

To… redeem the lifeless leaders and the homeless of the centre-left, the political peddlers of the supposedly progressive space, the leftist unprofessional professionals and the sponsors of the interconnectedness.

Those familiar with popular tradition and wisdom of memory, seeing the images of Rematia, may have remembered the popular saying “May has the name and the reaper has the hunger”, especially with Tsipras’ reference to the tax policy that the new party intends to pursue.

The former prime minister attempted to differentiate himself from the Syriza government, noting that “the mistakes of the past must not be made.” “We will not find the money in either small, medium or big business. We will impose taxes on the 1%. This 1% must come over the counter,” he said.

And there, behind the smiles, the scenes of capital controls, the divisive referendum and the “proud” improvisations that ended up in a third memorandum played out in remake. And yet, Tsipras was not lost to society over the years; it judged and rejected him, twice in fact.

But society did not increase Nikos Androulakis’ political stink either. It is not investing in him politically, possibly creating such insecurity in Harilaou Trikoupis that the image of the reaper Tsipras is upsetting. Perhaps even fear… Because the first head he aims to take with his scythe, to be the undisputed reaper of the centre-left, is the head of PASOK’s president.

The grand narrative

The communication model of the French sages that Tsipras has enlisted on Amalias Avenue will also be judged there. It will be there that we will see what returns the former prime minister’s attempt to appear as a spokesman for the peasants, the young, the weak, the people of the periphery will yield. This is where the… grit of part of the political and media system attempting to construct the narrative of the “great comeback” will also become apparent.

This is where it seems that Nikos Androulakis was also trapped, adopting leftist phraseology and inflammatory tactics, possibly choosing to play ball within Tsipras’ hearth.

But political credibility is not restored and established by selective memoryand time is not a political washing machine. After all, Tsipras’ political suit has also faded and deteriorated, no matter how much he has attempted to maintain it in good condition over the years.

Alexis Tsipras, in the role of… “reaper”, threateningly waves his scythe at Androulakis and cuts the bile of the middle class and pensioners.
…

[3

post-5246","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-politics
["GET
