Health Minister Adonis Georgiades has given the health minister Androulakis<\/b> a break in his political clash with PASOK President Nikos Androulakis<\/b>.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
<\/b>In a new <\/span>post, he responds<\/b>to<\/span>Harilaou Trikoupis’s<\/b> announcement<\/span>on <\/span>property <\/b>of the Androulakis family leased by the <\/span>Public<\/b><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n Adonis Georgiades refers to an announcement<\/b> issued “under a state of absolute panic”<\/b>, claiming that the PASOK has not responded “to anything at all” from what it raised publicly.<\/p>\n The Health Minister clarifies that he did not accuse Nikos Androulakis<\/b> of lawlessness<\/b> in the Land Registry<\/b> contract, but raised, as he says, a question of political and moral order.<\/p>\n “I said that it is legal<\/b>, but it is also ethical<\/b> for the opposition leader to have received 1.2 million tickets<\/b>. euros<\/b> from the Greek state with a contract made under PASOK,” he says.<\/p>\n At the same time, he insists that he never claimed that the president of PASOK received money for renovation<\/b> of the property, but that the building was renovated<\/b> with public funds.<\/p>\n In fact, it raises questions about whether there were other properties available in Heraklion and whether Nikos Androulakis’ local name recognition and his role in PASOK played a role in the choice.<\/p>\n In his post<\/b>, Adonis Georgiades also responds to accusations of suggestions of undeclared money,<\/b>claiming that he never mentioned illegal funds.<\/p>\n As noted, he accused Nikos Androulakis of “hypocrisy<\/b>“, referring to the PASOK chairman’s attitude towards other cases.<\/p>\n “I accused him of hypocrisy.Two weights and measures<\/b>,” he said, referring to previous public statements by the opposition leader.<\/p>\n At the same time, he revisits the issue of bank accounts abroad<\/b>, noting that he considers it “unacceptable” for a would-be prime minister to keep his money in banks outside Greece, while clarifying that he does not question their legality.<\/p>\n The Health Minister raises the tone of the controversy even higher, responding to the announcement of an appeal to the courts by PASOK.<\/p>\n “So let’s go to the courts<\/b> to talk about it and we’ll be happy to talk about it there,” he says.<\/p>\n At the same time, he calls for Nikos Androulakis to be invited to the Institutional and Transparency Committee of the Parliament<\/b> in order to present “all the contracts<\/b> and the millions he got from the state”.<\/p>\n “I don’t think anyone from PASOK has any objections?”, Adonis Georgiades concludes in his post.<\/p>\n See the post:<\/p>\n“I did not speak of illegality but of a moral issue”<\/strong><\/h3>\n
